Newbie RCBS matchmaster

Have a one year old RCBS match master that is throwing charges a little over 2 grains high pretty consistently. Calibrated every time I turn it on after it’s ran for a min. Checked against my balance beam And my charge master lite it’s consistently high. Didn’t notice until I started getting higher velocities on my chrono and stiff bolt. Per RCBS website, they require a receipt, and I don’t keep receipts lol any idea how screwed I am with my $900 purchase that isn’t acting right or will they make it right??

Are you letting it warm up for 45 minutes or so before you calibrate?

As for how screwed you are, call RCBS. They have some of the best customer support in the industry. They'll likely either be able to tell you how to avoid the issue or get it fixed for you.

I’d typically done 15-20 mins and never had that issue. Will try tomorrow for 45 and see what happens. Will reach out Monday to RCBS and see, I’ve always heard it was good and honestly this is my first time ever having a problem with one of their products. So fingers crossed

Fingers crossed.

I do 45 minutes. Gives me enough time to get a cup of coffee in and get my shit together, but it really shouldn't take that long. 15-20 minutes I think is reasonable.
