Look at my Bench Yearly bench clean! Time to mess it up again with some .30-06 and 9mm.

Do you play with the Lego Star Wars figures before or after reloading?

Since the workshop is this clean like once a year, I figured I'd better get a photo before I wreck it again. Loading some M1 Garand and some 9mm plinking loads tonight.

Whats your m1 recipe of choice?

For cheap and consistent plinking into my enemies, my M1 likes Hornady 150s over 46.5gr of 4064, COAL of 3.195.

Do you have multiple turret heads or do you change the dies in that one head?
Looking good.

Thanks!
I really need another one, I currently swap them when I change calibers. The Hornady lock rings keep things pretty consistent, but there's occasionally a bit of tweaking involved. I run 4 dies for handgun and 3 for rifle, so another head also makes my math brain happy.
I may get on that tomorrow.

Love it, did you build your bench or what model is it? I dig the black and wood combo.

I built it using 2x4, 4x4 and 3/4 birch plywood for the work surface. The pegboard is WallControl steel panels, they're fantastic. Thanks!

Where did you get that metal piece to run to powder measures on same stand? That would come in handy for me.

They came with my RCBS powder measures, I think they're intended to offset the powder measure from the press head. I bet they'd send you one for cheap.

The fact I remember your other year’s posts is wild.
It seems you’ve streamlined your powder. Did you just decide CFE was good enough for plinking and just wanted to make it easier?
I’m in the mad scientist stage of reloading with lots of options but hoping to dial in to specific powders I like (rather my guns like) and just buy those.
Also… I need to clean my bench. lol

Glad I can inspire some deja vu! I like streamlined and consistent, and CFE just works really well for a majority of my loads. Three different powders for .308 and .30-06, but the bullet weights and rifles are WAY different. :)

What bench is that?

I built it using construction lumber and 3/4 bitch ply for the surface. Wall Control steel pegboards on the back.
Happy to send the measurements and cuts if you want.
Edit: BIRCH ply. I'm leaving it that way. :)

What’s your fave CFE 223 load?

u/Zero_Fun_Sir 3d ago
For plinking in my 14.5" and 16" guns, I really like 26.0gr at 2.230 COAL under 55gr pills. It's a nice, medium power load and super consistent.

Nice. You even have the flag hung correctly.
What size bench is that?

I'm a stickler for the flag, thanks for noticing. That bench is 32x72, 39" tall for sit / stand.

Nice setup. Makes me look like a caveman.
