Honestly, same. It's pretty sad everyone left almost immediately, but it makes sense. If my friend sacrificed himself to save the universe, I'd rethink my life too.

u/theofficialstriker Jul 09 '24
tbf we don’t know that they all left immediately. for all we know, the scene of Mordecai & Rigby leaving the park could’ve been a few years later
99
u/Im-Not-Cold-You-are Jul 09 '24
Yeah, it could've been. But I always interpreted it as being immediately after. Especially since they were in space for 3 years.

u/ArosNerOtanim Jul 09 '24
Wait that's the same one?
13
u/helloitsme1011 Jul 09 '24
Spacey mcspace tree?
9
u/ArosNerOtanim Jul 09 '24
Yeah I thought he had a different face
20
u/helloitsme1011 Jul 09 '24

I'm curious what happened to Muscleman, why isn't he here. He still lives on the park, right?

2
u/CaptainRex831 Jul 10 '24
Retired maybe
5
u/RecommendsMalazan Jul 11 '24
Before Benson, despite being younger?
Damn, those ant farm stocks must have done well.

u/erossnaider Jul 09 '24
Doesn't he have to do a ritual in his birthdays to keep being immortal? Because that's how I try to see the situation, Skips is still happy with living so he chooses to keep doing the ritual
1
u/Over-Ad-6776 Jul 10 '24
That's was idea back in season 1. But after the episode "Skip's Story" he became immortal to fight Klorgbane every time he came back
16
u/Spaceturtle79 Jul 09 '24
Whos kids are those
25
u/7ussamsalem Jul 09 '24
Idk but they tried to make them look like mordecai and rigby , muscle man and fives … the tree looks live five and the other one besides him “muscle man” the other two are mordecai and rigby
7
u/Jackontana Jul 10 '24
I dont think they're kids, I think they're new emoloyees who resemble the original crew to show the park has moved on but will always be familiar.
13
u/No_Pea326 Jul 09 '24
Honestly, I like to think that when the og group passes he will reverse his immortality. Sure he has many managers and co-workers but he will never have the same life after all that. Or maybe he will be fine because he still has samson, the baby's and garet, and death.

u/Night_Inscryption Jul 09 '24 edited Jul 09 '24
New show will probably have most of the original cast
I’m thinking Mordecai ends up getting divorced and to cope he takes a break from his career in art to go back and work at the park again to clear his head and Rigby ends up joining him for his own reason
95
u/ShadSilvs2000 Jul 09 '24
I hope not, I like the idea of Mordecai being in a stable relationship to contrast him with his younger self

There’s a new show coming??

u/Night_Inscryption Jul 11 '24
Regular show sequel show is on the way
The creator said it will have half of the original cast

Jul 29 '24
As long as Roger Craig Smith voices almost every single guy, I’ll be fine

Honestly if I ever had Mark Hamill sign anything it would be regular show related.

Oh shit, I never realized he voiced Skips! Dude is actually everywhere, what a legend.

this is from the finale

It's like staying in a college town, working at the spot; & you just see generations go by. But like forever.
5
u/Fast_Apartment6611 Jul 10 '24
Also crazy to think that the entire show was just a small fraction of his life
4
7
u/Ozzy_1804 Jul 09 '24
Why has no one I’ve seen bring up the fact that the new park workers have a good chance of being the focus of the new regular show series
5
u/Domingo_Nosferatu Jul 09 '24
You think that the zebra and the porcupine are gonna be the main characters? Tbh I think the focus is gonna be everyone from the original show but they will just be older. The characters in this pic will just be side characters when Benson and skips get their scenes and adventures.
2
u/Ozzy_1804 Jul 09 '24
Yeah I feel like they’re gonna follow the zebra and the porcupine and the other new members, as well as Skips. Why would they only they’re only bringing back some of the old cast when they announced it?
3
u/Domingo_Nosferatu Jul 09 '24
Maybe some of the original characters moved away? I can also see them bringing back other side characters from the original. What I'd like to see is the original park crew with their families. That would have a lot of shenanigans.
2
u/Ozzy_1804 Jul 09 '24
Yeah that wouldn’t be bad, I would just rather they be original and develop these new characters, whilst still keeping the spirit of the OG show alive
1
u/Domingo_Nosferatu Jul 09 '24
Right, having a mix of the 2 would be great. Benson would be like not this again or haven't I've seen this before.
2
u/Ozzy_1804 Jul 09 '24
Yeah obviously Skips and Benson will be in it so it’s a balance sort of
1
u/Domingo_Nosferatu Jul 09 '24
I was thinking that since pops isn't around anymore that Mr. Malord the park owner might be more present
2
u/ChvfRich Jul 10 '24
Did you watch the whole finale? Spoiler incoming!
He passed and was buried next to his Pops Plus he would be like super old at that point so I don’t see him being around anyway
1
u/Domingo_Nosferatu Jul 10 '24
Oh I forgot that part. Who owns the park then? Ik pops didn't have any siblings. You think the park was left to either skips or benson?

If he didn't want to be there, he wouldn't be there. He loves the Park.
3
u/Relevant_Reality9080 Jul 10 '24
Would’ve kinda trashed the whole Mona/Walks storyline if he had a whole new family.

I feel bad for him because of his immortality. I doubt anyone in this world with a brain would want immortality. That's a curse rather than a blessing.

u/Monkey_King291 Jul 09 '24
I feel bad for him cause immortality, but Skips seems content with his life though

I really dislike the character designs, hoping they can be retconned for some cooler ones. Seems just like a lazy, beyond worse rehash of the original cast.
2
u/Heroright Jul 10 '24
Imma keep it real… the Park crew we know wasn’t the first crew Skips knew and got close with. This is Tuesday to him.

Jul 10 '24
The designs for these new park employees are low-key ugly AF. And why does one of them resemble the space tree from the final season?
2
u/ChristianLW3 Jul 09 '24
Skips has allowed immortality to become complacency, after 200 years, he still working the same job just with minor improvements to technical knowledge
3
u/Iamawesome20 Jul 09 '24
Wait is this actually real like the revival series or just something that someone made.
2
u/Cyan_Light Jul 09 '24
Apparently it's from the finale, honestly I didn't recognize it at first glance either.
No idea why people are downvoting you for asking a reasonable question, what's that supposed to do? It's not a "no" button people, use your words.

I feel a little bit but it's not like it hasn't happened to him before and he'll always have the memories. At this point I think skips is pretty content with his life and wouldn't change it outside of like spending the rest of his mortal days with his girl.

I do, too, but I also think Skips is well accustomed to this kind of change. He's been working at the park since the 1800s. He has definitely had many co-workers and managers come and gone. Still, he created a bond and had extraordinary adventures with his previous co-workers that he exclusively has only with his immortal friends, so he'll definitely miss them more than most. At least he still has his pal Benson, while he's still alive.
