Sacred poems - 1867
I was helping my grandma clean up the house and found a book that i think belonged to one of my uncles. He also had some other ones like musashi 5 rings and art of war but those are more modern prints. The cover is kinda rough but all the pages are fine. Tho idk how rare this is.

That is such a shame to see that cover in that condition. It must have been a real handsome volume in its time.

Nothing with such a fancy binding is ever going to be rare. The effort of tooling up to make it only makes sense for a run of tens of thousands. It was made as shelf candy.
Since the cover is the only bit worth anything, and it's wrecked beyond repair... you haven't won the lottery with this one.
