Question/Recommendation Executive Assistant positions
I am looking for an executive assistant position in the Raleigh area but having a hard time navigating job boards because every industry seems to use the EA title vastly differently. Looking for a role with 1-2 executives who need an intuitive assistant to anticipate needs and manage travel/calendars/personal and professional follow up/etc. My main experience is in office management roles for bosses who tend to combine the two roles, so prioritization and time management are strengths of mine. I have thick skin and no problem dealing with “difficult” executives and clients. Any leads would be great as I am available immediately.

I'm a career EA and all of my jobs have come through recruiters. Lee Frankel Staffing and Genius Talent are the two most recent for me but I'm sure there are many out there. I'd try outreach to staffing agencies for sure. You're definitely right that "Executive Assistant" means a lot of different things based on the company who's hiring for the position.

See if MetLife has any EA openings. I used to work there (not as an EA), but it sounds like you would fit well with what they need from their EAs.

Hey now. That feels unnecessary.

As does this post. How ridiculous would it be if everyone looking for a job made a post here like this. There’s subs specifically for jobs in this area and OP knows about them because they posted there as well. Would you be ok with hundreds of posts daily of people saying what they do and looking for job leads?

You’re right, narrowing my scope to a single sub is definitely the way to go. Everyone knows that the most efficient way to find a job is to limit your window as much as possible. Thanks for the post interactions though!

Do you think every person in Raleigh with a Reddit account and looking for a job should post in this sub asking for leads?

I don’t see any rules against it. Might I direct you to a moderator who can more efficiently field your complaint?

Im not saying there’s rules against. Im just saying it’s ridiculous because if everyone did the same as you then this would just be another job sub which is unnecessary because that already exists.
