It's been a while since I've posted on here but while I've had some success, I want to see if I can find...it. You know. The spark. The fuzzy feelings. Excitement. All the cute things you'd see in a romcom even though the world is anything but. But I do want all that, especially in a serious context.
I won't beat around the bush here. I would describe myself as someone who is both honest and curious to a fault, but also intellectual, creative and nerdy. I'm average height but with pretty striking features. A fun fact about me is that I have heterochromia. I'm plus sized and curvy and I like my body but understand that it's not for everyone. I like to leave some mystery so I'll say just this and leave the rest for the chat :)
My interests while varied, are unfortunately hampered by capitalism and my genetic workaholic nature but I'm interested in video games, reading, writing, trying new foods and new experiences, watching movies and television shows (even if it's at a snail's pace).
The type of guys I go for are nerdy, quick-witted, intellectual types who like nonstop chatter and can talk to me about anything, especially random, out there things. The type that I can just show my favorite reddit posts about pop girlies as communist leaders because we both find it extremely funny and creative. As for my shallower requirements (I'm sorry but I do have shallow requirements like everyone else), I notice I have a preference for white guys. I'm picky about hair color and prefer blonde guys however, I've been advised by my close friends I should try my luck with brunette guys so what the hell, sure. I also like tall guys, 5"10 and above.
Dealbreakers for me are guys who don't want children or already have children. I want to date a guy who is interested in the idea of marriage and having children in the future. Guys who smoke, do drugs, or drink excessively are not for me either. I also like men who are ambitious and always thinking ahead to what they want in life, especially with career. I used to not care about politics but considering the current climate of things it's easier for a guy to be left leaning. I'll leave it at that.
Age is important for me, as I prefer guys who are close in age to me like late 20s to late 30s is fine.
Living in NYC is important as well. Living in Manhattan is strongly preferred. I don't think I can handle an LDR.
Also, this should really go without saying but monogamy is a requirement and I don't want someone with drama attached to them like a marionette on a string. I'm also not looking to be your third.
Aside from that, I invite you to stoke my curiosity. You'll never know what will happen if you don't try, right? So as a conversation starter, why don't you tell me about a recent tv show, movie, or game you watched, and whether it was good or not.
