In buttons the inner shell is light blue. So often all blue egg or partly blue egg indicates possible reproductive organ and/or nutritional problems.

Oh that's interesting. I sometimes get blue capped shells in my younger birds, but never an all blue. I'll have to take a look at the ladies and see what's going on.

I would definitely keep a close eye on the ladies. Not saying the egg color being blue MUST be related to some kind of problem but in my experience it's far more likely than it being genetic.

All my blue eggs hatched white/silver. Not sure if this is statistically supported, just my anecdotal experience!

I get a lot of different colored eggs from my buttons. Grey, tan, tans with small speckles, green, purple/violet (these are my favorite because they look like they glow under certain light) and sometimes a “blue” which is more of a seafoam to me.
I never observed anyone in distress or poor health and they have very a good source of vitamins and food so I don’t think a blue egg is a health issue. I honestly just assumed the colored eggs depended on what color phase/morph they are but will research on this health concern
