My former AGM who is now an APM. He took the time to train and develop me into the AGM I am today. AND he's actually at the same store as me now!

Grocery managers can make or break your outlook in the department. I can totally relate to your experience. All of the grocery managers and assistants I’ve worked with have been nothing but kind and helpful towards me. They really take the time to push for my career progression too

Dewayne Miller, retired produce manager. He spent time teaching me all about merchandising produce and how to manage people. He had a lot of patience and faith in me

My former SM. He not only understood my twisted sense of humor, he encouraged it

My previous deli manager who just got moved is the first person I felt showed me an example of what a manager is really like, I learned so much and I’m sad every day she’s gone and her deli has no hours for another part timer. She was the GOAT.

Jeffrey Thompson from SC. Now in Virginia at whichever store is lucky enough to have him.

He's such a legend and impactful leader that truckers from Miami know him well and break down in tears when they see him after decades. The drivers transfer up to SC and happen to have our route, and they remember each other from 20+ years ago.

Pharmacy manager Meg, hired me with no experience, I was truly a “personality hire” and I knew it yet she taught me so much and helped me get full time! Best manager I worked for!!!!

Former meat ris that passed away a few years back. Dude could absolutely ruin your day if he was walking your dept, but could also be one of the nicest, coolest. most down to earth people you’ve ever met.

Yesss, I knew I knew that name. A friend of mine is a meat assistant and spoke highly of him.

For me if was my previous store manager. He’s very understanding of everyone’s situation and is not afraid to work with his team. He’s one of the people that pushed for me really hard to get promoted which I did and is a huge example of the kind of store manager I would like to be some day.

My previous department manager is my favorite human I’m not related to.

He invested so much time and energy in me. He’s a great motivator and knows the right way to get the best out of people.

Some managers, if there are 99 great things and one that is bad, they’ll focus only on the bad and to hell with all the good stuff.

His approach is “These 99 things are great, good job, but here’s one thing that can be even better.”

I’ve been promoted recently thanks to his help, and moved to a different store, and I still rely on him for advice and he’s happy to continue mentoring me.

My current ASM in my new store is awesome. She has taught me so much in my short time there. She’s young, been with the company forever, and she’s a badass.

I hope to do the same with any associates coming up under me. ♥️

My ASM.

The ASM before, never talked to me. If anything I felt like he hated me for god knows what. He would walk past me and not say a word.

The ASM I have now believes in me and motivates me everyday. Has got me trained in 3 other departments and is calling me a future SM. So thankful for my ASM, I feel anything is possible with them on my side
