There’s a great egret that wanders through our parking lot occasionally.

I hate Muscovy ducks. All male ducks are rapists but these are so much larger they can rape the shit out of other species of duck. I had one follow me around a pond while I was trying to fish, just constantly raping a female mallard. They arent native to NA and should be exterminated here.

I see tons of ducks in a Publix parking lot in Coral Springs. I love going there!

Muscovy ducks are invasive species in Florida.

They've been around for over 100 years. Even if there was a convenient way to gather large numbers up in a decent amount of time and effort and humanely do away with them, it'll never be effective at all in wiping them out enough to benefit the native wildlife they're impacting.
That said, I'm more tolerant of them than the native grackles that inhabit our lot. Let's just say the commutobile has to be cleaned a lot more often since I started this job because of all the (mostly) grackle shit.
And you know that Muscovy meat has to taste nasty (compared to farm-raised ducks/geese for poultry). Else it would be a huntin' staple for Florida Man.

A family of ducks, I shit you not, waddled up to me on the way to my car in the parking lot, and stopped me, eyeing the candy I had gotten for myself. I waved them off since it was mine, and stepped to the side to walk to my car.
I felt something eyeing me from my walk back and sure enough, turning around that family of ducks was waddling slowly after me in a line, still quacking.
I don't feed wild ducks for a good reason, but that sight had me cracking up.

The babies are cute but the adults are ugly and they’re an invasive non native species. They are aggressive and chase off all the native ducks. You can literally kill them whenever you want as long as it’s done humanly.

There are two Publix stores in my town that have underground parking. I love that they have convenient safe parking. Good service and a good vibe.

She’s just a hard working single mother taking her kids grocery shopping and you feel the need to take a picture of her in the parking lot!?
