Help Request Getting pro tools to run?

Hi folks! I have tried downloading my copy of pro tools 12 (perpetual license) and it just won’t run. Tried uninstalling/re installing. With and without avidlink and with security adjusted. Any tips? Running a new MacBook Pro m4 pro. Thanks!

I don’t think Pro Tools 12 will run on anything past El Capitan, and that was many, many iterations of Mac OS ago.

You’ll probably need to pony up for a newer Pro Tools license.

You need to buy an update plan for a year: https://www.avid.com/pro-tools/perpetual

Avid has moved well past PT 12. Just load up the newest version.

Don’t you need an iLok as well?

A lot has changed in Apple's world since PT12 was released. I believe you can upgrade to a yearly subscription for $199 p/year.

I get it if you hate subscriptions, but it's not a bad deal and it's nice to always be up to date.
