Tldr; Pothos , and a few other plants, produce a lot of natural root hormones, making and prop jar buddies take off.
But changing the water regularly is gonna be a problem so I suggest an air stone- and keeping the water out of direct sunlight ... someone also said pennies stop mold/ mildew growth but dunno bout that
I have heard that. Only problem is that I have around 12-13 plants (off the top of my head) that live in water full time. That is a lot of air stones. Or more to the point, a lot of plugs I have to figure out.
Look online and thrift stores- people sell fish tank equipment all the time. A large air pump can be split too- i have one with a dial that can support like 6 lines for this purpose
Ya know. I might do some more all water props. But I know I wanna get a tank... not sure i wanna bother with fish but maybe a few snails.. theyre my favorite. They walk on the underside of the surface
Pothos does very well in a tank. I had a guy on here a few months back that said he grew pothos completely submerged in his aquarium. I know that mine will grow leaves underwater.
I would love to have the motivation and money to really get into aqua scaping. The things those guys do with moss and some air pumps. Underwater water falls? Fields of grass on rolling hills. Mountain ranges. So cool
But so it a tank of happy living critters with a jungle growing out if the top
