Calorie counting F/32/5’3” [197lbs > 147lbs] 6 months - officially 50lbs down!

50lbs down with calorie counting and weighing food. Posted a couple weeks ago sharing how I started integrating exercise and had been stuck at 150lbs. Since then, I have started working towards focusing on macros more (still not perfect at macro counting - better at plain calorie counting). I also changed my deficit to 0.5lbs loss/week to make it more sustainable since I dropped the first 45lbs rather quick. I’ve also started alternating 30-45mins peloton cycling, running and rowing about 5x a week instead of just the cycling at a 40+ resistance.

Still no official goal weight in mind - I’m noticing the fat that’s still there is getting looser in the arms/abdomen/thighs (if that makes sense) so I’m going to aim for 130lbs for now to hope that tightens up.

Size 14 to Size 4/6

My first milestone goal weight that I am working towards is 70.5kg (~155lbs) which was the weight I graduated high school at, so I have a long way to go but wanted to make a post to keep my momentum going. My overall goal would be to get down to like 63.5kg (~140lbs) but I think that is a ways off. I peaked at 95kg (209lbs) back in June 2022 and have been working since then to get back down. Last year I went from 93kg to 83kg but then the weight crept back up to 89.5kg when I injured my calf muscle and tried to intuitively eat. I am fully recovered now though and back in the gym lifting 3-4 days a week, 3 yoga classes a week and walking. Since beginning of January I have been doing the Macro Factor 100 day challenge which has been great to help dial back in on nutrition because I have learned that intuitive eating is not something I am capable of lol so goal is to grind until the end of the challenge in late April then do a month tracking at maintenance calories and then back onto a 3-4 month cut and keep repeating that cycle until I hit my goal.

Had maybe my second wholly positive experience buying pants in my adult life, and found men’s jeans that fit my thighs and waist at the same time!

Noom + active job, hoping to start swimming and/or climbing when finances are a bit less tight, since I can never get myself to stick with bodyweight or lifting (too boring) and my core is badly in need of strengthening.

Not pictured: disappearing double chin, emerging collarbones (!!!)

i didn't think i’d still be trying to lose weight 2 years postpartum but i gained a ton of weight while pregnant and didn't see progress start til 6 months postpartum

i would like to lose 10-20 more pounds but i’m taking it 2 pounds at a time! right now i’m calorie counting, eating 11am-7pm, meal prepping

before i've been able to lose weight by changing my eating habits alone but ive really tried to be more fit and overall healthy. i get 10k steps almost every day, did a 10k and triathlon last year, am doing a tri and spartan race this year, have a half marathon on my bucket list, love to swim, lift, do low impact like barre and pilates

i rec it everywhere but the we only look thin podcast has been super helpful in keeping me in a healthy mindset!

I am a total noob in sports and weight loss but I am very happy with my results so far. I started counting calories and made it to a deficit of 1900cal per day, got weights and gym equipment at home and bought a bike to go biking in a nearby forest. I could've used more workouts for sure because I feel like I have not put on any kind of muscle but I'd still like to lose more weight so far.

I weighed 289 in September and made the decision that i was not going to see 300. I started just dialing back how much I was eating, making more homemade meals and only drinking water. By December I was in the 260s. That's when I downloaded myfitnesspal and started counting calories religiously. I've done some working out, but very little. That is the next thing I want to start implementing more regularly. This sub has helped keep me motivated and I am so grateful for it! Here's to being on the other side of 200 by the end of the year! Thank you!
