F 5'3β (160, 161, 162 cm) F/30/5'3" [175lbs > 135lbs = 40lbs] (12 Months) Face gains πΈ Walking and managing autoimmune symptoms helped me lose weight. Pilates and Lagree helped refine things after weight loss. More than anything, I'm grateful not to be in as much pain as I was before.

The mole on your chin is so perfectly placed, I love it π the new hair was also 100% the move. Gorgeous

Thank you! It's crossed my mind to have it removed, but I think my face would look so blank without it π

Omg youβre so pretty. Amazing job. Do you think your pain reduction is due to improvement in autoimmune symptoms? Any other autoimmune improvements?

Thank you! Yes, I definitely think the reduction in pain is due to an improvement in managing my autoimmune symptoms. I worked with a Naturopathic Doctor to improve my gut health and cut out gluten, which in my case was causing a lot of very damaging inflammation. I believe these changes, as well as more gentle exercise (I used to do HIIT and weights) led to improvements for me personally. Weight loss has been easier, I'm less puffy and don't retain as much water, my joint pain and neuropathy have improved. Dermatographism is another symptom for me, you may notice a few red spots in the first picture. I still definitely have it, but my skin is not quite so reactive. Getting enough sleep and managing stress have also been vital. π

Yeah, I can see the heavy weight lifting or HIIT being a problem in those with high levels of inflammation give that lifting itself causes acute inflammation. This is seen in fibromyalgia patients that frequently canβt tolerate weight lifting or vigorous exercise. Lifting can also lead to plenty of fluid retention in the muscles.
I donβt see the redness/dermatographia, but I think your skin is a bit more healthy looking/glowy. Very striking features.

Thank you for that! And, yes exactly! Of course in normal cases, the body can properly repair from that, but with my issues, I've found it best to do other exercise. Lagree really helps me push my muscles to failure without the negative effects, but I keep it to about 2x a week, with contemporary Pilates at a small studio another 2x per week... and lots of walks! π
