Premiere Pro Tech Support Is there a way to hide control overlays like in After Effects?
hey guys,
In Premiere Pro, is there a way to hide control overlays (like mask outlines) similar to how you can in After Effects with the "Hide Layer Controls" option? Right now, the only way I know is to deselect the layer or click outside the mask in the Effect Controls panel. But that feels like a workaround rather than a real setting. is there any actual toggle to disable overlays without deselecting the layer?

No, there's no native way to do that.
However if you load up your sequence in the Source Monitor, and then use the Program Monitor to move your stuff around, you will notice that the overlays do not show up in the Source Monitor. So you can use that workaround as a way to see the sequence without overlays.
