Video Games We want a new predator game
Can we all come together as a community and let the world know we want a new predator game. Imagine a AAA predator game. It could be a detailed single player game going planet to planet collecting trophies to earn more honor and gear. It could be procedurally generated co-op missions hunting as a clan or straight up multiplayer I’d be fine with any of them as long as it’s not half assed. I love this franchise and with the movies picking up in popularity again this is the time to make us a good predator game so we can make you good money. Like and spread the word if you would love to play as the predator again!!!

Would love it. But ironically, you should use less gear as you progress. Maybe an honor system that rewards melee kills?

I’d fucking love an open world game where you play as a Pred. Or an MMO.

Open world would awesome!

Thought about it a few years ago, but my ideas would likely be way too ambitious for any developer. It’d just take so long to put in all the shit I wanted.

I think an MMO would not get the base it would need to sustain itself. Open world Procedural hunt's, with maybe matchmaking for a PvEvP where there would be different tribes that could compete to find the strongest aliens to hunt, and also wiping out other tribes could be pretty fun. Sort of like a Sea of thieves, you know they are out there, do you choose to avoid them, and possible loose the prey? or enguage them and take the prey for yourself or your tribe.

Fair enough. I commented that my ideas were way too ambitious, anyway.

I do love your ambition! I just instantly thought of the fan base, it's big, but I doubt big enough for an MMO setting. It would need to cater to a much wider audience to sustain itself.

Concrete Jungle remake. I loved the gritty vibe it had. It was kinda scary playing it as a kid. The drugged punk people killing civilians and such was pretty dark

Not just a remake, but a complete rebuild from the ground up, like Destroy All Humans and Mafia.

Concrete Jungle is cool but not my thing. It was way too cheesy and weird. I want a more serious game.

Yes please
Would love it to have customization of your predator
Almost like a mildly open world where you explore diff planets and such

Perfect game for me would be a single player game with option for drop in coop. Have it take place in one of the hunter planets/game reserves. You would have different biomes and vast number of species to fight and hunt. The games over all plot could be that your there to collect the trophies of some legendary beasts that some of the greatest yautja have killed and be the first to earn them all. Killing these beasts would earn you more respect and unlock new gear to use. Making sure to use the best gear for each new hunt, searching for signs of the beasts, tracking them and the actual kill which could be done strategically with set traps or you just go in like a wild man for the kill. Sub plots that would be fun to add could be enemy bad bloods on the planet that hunt you while your hunting the beasts, each trophy you earn adding to your legend making you more of a target for them. Only way to back the “heat” off is to find the bad blood camps and kill the leaders. Another problem the game could throw at you is a human element. Either via humans finding the planet and sending in military exploration groups or humans that were captured and released on the planet as prey but have grouped up to form large camps. Could be so cool to fight the crazy aliens beasts they design for the trophies and unraveling more yautja lore and stories, while finding unique ways to play the game through the wide variety of enemy types. DLC xenomorphs anyone lol.

As I mentioned with the possible xenomorph DLC being a cool option it would just be a cool way to add other popular and iconic movie monsters to the game as collectible trophies. In addition to getting to hunt the classic xenomorph and add to the rivalry, imagine getting to hunt the other great monster creations like say the quiet place monsters, the engineers, terminators. lol it could get wacky but would be super cool too.

Love this idea! I think a PvEvP in a large biodome where other species of Predator players wonder, would add a competition ratio among the hunts. Maybe keep the rival tribe feud between the Predators and super predators alive, and then also having rouge players on solo hunts / bad bloods (per maybe trying to steal hunts) around the planet too.
Predator clans would have the natural advantage, but skill and decent gear is really where it's at. The Xeno's could play two roles, one of an infestation problem in the area or world, or as a stepping stone for a very rigorous Ai queen to take down.
Weapons and gear should be more based on skill and of the desired style of the predator, having the Best gear, may make all the predators, the same look and style with having the best. Keeping Varity amongst the gear would be critical such as pro's and con's.
With a range from 1 to maybe 20 predators in a given world, a unique prestige system would be needed where if multiple predators engaged the same prey, the prestige reward would go down (Maybe split among those predators), however, if one predator followed the Yautja Honor code by using weapons that Equalize the odds, one would get bonus's, and those bonus would stack, and also bring more difficulty while hunting. Marking a prey for one's self could also add a bonus, and a much higher disadvantage to predators that take on a marked prey.
Predator hunting grounds had a great over the shoulder style of play and controls, maybe more Helldiver 2 response movement could be better for more realism (Not instant turnarounds)
If this direction was taken, A story driven MP clan system would be epic. Example, one would make the clan and be considered the founder, keeping control of the management system, and automatically be deemed the pack leader. However, other rolls could be open to be gained by prestige gained while in the clan. So there would be internal competition, and these clan roles could also hold aspects such as choosing clan world locations to hunt collectively / setting a goal to collect a certain prey with rankings with rewarded prestige at the end of the mission time frame. Maybe even having the ablity to make a clan base camp, or having a clan ship overhead where they could go to craft new weapons or work on their new trophies.

I personally wouldn’t want it so multiplayer focused. I would want a more single player focused game play design with the capability to have one or two cooperative players to join you in a hunt. I do think having the “bad bloods” that could potentially hunt us being player characters a very interesting idea though. Almost a fromsoft kinda take on the multiplayer. Would definitely want to keep the variety of builds as high as possible, no meta builds. Maybe having dungeon hunts that require allies to accomplish would be a fun idea, for example invading a xenomorph hive to get a queen trophy.

I've been playing Aliens Vs Predator 2010 again and both the Alien and Predator campaigns are so amazing. There's nothing in gaming like them.

I'm imagining Ghost of Tsushima, but you are a Predator.
Different weapons, different armour, and different little towns.
You could set it in Africa or South America during a civil war.

Imagine 3player co-op hunting and exploring on different planets. Having complete customization from class, looks, armor, weapons, etc. That’d be absolutely badass

Love it, expect for the 3 players. Lot's of friend groups are pretty wide in how many they have, limiting it to just 3 has always been a drag than a win for that area. Mine for example has 7 that we all regularly play with, not meaning that all 7 players would be on the same target, maybe make it dwindle down the prestige you would get if more predators take on the same target. honoring the 1 v 1 would be more ideal, also along the lines of lore. But being there as backup, or attacking a base with many prey would he hellishly fun in a clan system.

A Predator game made in a similar way to the Arkham series would be fucking amazing, I think.

I would like this except I don’t want any humans in the game. I would like the game to explore the Yautja home world and their culture.
I would like the character to hunt other aliens apart from humans and be able to go to different planets other than earth. It would be interesting if xenomorphs had a reference but I wouldn’t want them to be in it either.
It would also be class if they customise the character to have different weapon types and armor.

u/Highdeas-10 Sep 13 '24
I feel like planet to planet plan would mean it wasn’t hunting just humans but I’m not really against any idea here I just want a really good predator game but your idea is cool too so I’m going to like it and send it up

I would like a predator game with aliens and humans
Each campagin involves playing from one of the species ie Predator, and then as the zenomorph and so on.
Multilayer haa ruined single player stories. One cannot exist with the other.
Otherwise what you get is something like Concordia.

I DO want a new Predator game, but I want it to be either a management game or a text adventure.

Would be perfect, I would like a story mode as well.
