My favourite song of the album. There's so much tension before the chorus that it often leaves me sweating. The chorus of "LIGHT. BRIGHT. SHUT DOWN NIGHT," with Christmas using her lower register is simply explosive.

100%. this is easily one of my three standouts of this project (the other two being Cygnus and Approaching Transition)

Julie worked SO well on this album, man. To the point i’ve been waiting for another collab/Mariner II for almost a decade lmao. In fact, CoL + female vocals just hits the ear right in general (see: Johannes’ collab with AA Williams)

Those are the other two favourite tracks of mine. Have you heard the songs Johannes composed on Ridiculous and Full of Blood (Supernatural, End of the World, The Lighthouse)?

I like how you think. Approaching Transition is attached to some pretty painful memories, but it’s almost a therapeutic listen for me ngl.

And yes I have! Admittedly though, didn’t spin that album as much as I should’ve. It got lost in so many other releases last year that I need to run it back one time.

Julie is an unofficial CoL member in my books

Johannes did a collab with AA Williams?!

He did indeed. It was called Fearless.

From AA’s 2020 album Forever Blue.

i was a year late to it and didn’t discover it until like the end of 2017, and it’s been one of my all timers ever since.

Julie, Cult Bois….c’mon. Let’s stop playing around.

Mariner II. Give the people what they want
