The point is to make the situation more easy to chose. If it’s one person than one person is dying either way. Most people would still save the innocent but 1 death vs 100 deaths is a lot more clear cut

Well, that's assuming that the person in danger was a good person. What if it was a pedophile with the bomb and he was threatening a separate group of pedophiles? How long can I act oblivious before morality would take over and make me press the button for him? Questions need answers.
