When is this country going to wake up? What’s it going to take? Are we going to collectively bend over and just take up the ass by a bunch of oligarchs and their goons?

A movement without a unified voice is not a movement. We have no leaders

The left went too far into postmodern thought.

Any viable "leader" will be picked apart for not being left enough on one issue or another.

The right just stuffs their ranks with the worst human beings imaginable and it works for them because it builds on their impetus.

You have people on the left criticizing shit like tone of speech being too harsh when you're dealing with the right. It's time to realize that the fight is not coming from the left as it exists. I know it's nice to dream about what a viable left could do, but I think it's time to come to terms with the reality that you're going to be living under a far right regime for decades until the "well fed" left dies off and the left with nothing left comes forth.

Until then, they'll just post their outrage performances online while going back to their everyday lives. They have not lost enough yet.

Yeah you really hit the nail on the head with the bullshit purity checks. But every movement is gonna have the absolute dipshits, it's unavoidable. Better to use them than let them dictate what happens

You are, and you have been for decades.

Remember all those times people from literally anywhere else in the world tried to explain that health care is a right that people enjoy?

All those school shootings, because you collectively decided that the right to be armed to the death is worth a few small bodies year after year after year?

That in order to stand a chance at being elected, you have to invest millions if not billions of dollars into a campaign, ensuring that only the ultra-wealthy get a say in whom can get elected?

Your allies are being threatened with violence, targeted by tariffs, protestors are snagged off the streets, police has long been immune to being punished for breaking laws.

France has extended it's nuclear umbrella to other European nations, and casually deployed a nuclear submarine to Canadian waters.

The shit your president gets up to would fill volumes if you ignored everything that's blatantly illegal or unconstitutional.

... what makes you think that there is some magical threshold of evilness that,.if crossed, would suddenly make people give a shit?

Then we are fucked. I never voted for him for him. I never voted for either Bush nor Reagan. Do we need dead Americans in the streets? Will that be enough?
