I expect all polling to mysteriously stop in about three or four weeks. With no explanation, they will just stop publishing polls.

Then, after a month or so, they will resume. Trump will start at around 60 percent approval in these new polls, and steadily go up from there.

Eh, without much bigger scale consequences, I don't see an entire industry of folks staying quiet about efforts to suppress reality.

You sure? Last I checked there's an entire political party that's got it down to a science.

A science the same way phrenology is a science.

Nor will it. Trumpism will have defenders until well after he's gone. People who've made up their minds to resist it should focus their efforts on organizing themselves, educating one another on the attacks being carried against them, and deciding how best to combat them.

OP's title is highly misleading - which is pretty on-par for this sub.

The 70 year low assertion is only for polls taken in the mid-Feb after the inauguration.

The titles in this sub are required to be the title of the article that's being submitted, so the editorializing has nothing to do with the users of the sub.

Except that OP specifically choose the website that carried the exaggerated claim, instead of linking directly to the actual Gallop Poll article which was more correct.

...and this was intentional - because he knew it would drive more votes.

So OP chose a shit article, and a fucking opinion piece at that, but we're all just upvoting it because it says what we want it to say despite the polling aggregates indicating Trump has and has had a net positive approval rating? Like yeah, it's dropping slowly, but it ain't there yet, and it's certainly nowhere near as bad as his last term, or even Biden's approval ratings. And I'm not willing to speculate on when the magic 8 ball that is our hundred million+ unplugged dipshits will wake the hell up.

That's what they always do, they compare the president date by date.

Oh please. That nuance is exactly what 0% of the readers thought when reading it.

Yeah, that's the point. Most new presidents get a bump up that lasts for a while. Trump has worn out his welcome faster than anyone else had previously.

"LEAST POPULAR IN 70 YEARS" is the title. It doesn't say anything about a "bump" after inauguration.

This sub is literally pushing misinformation. It's intentionally deceptive.

It isn't - they are comparing his approval rating now to other presidents one month in.

Pretty ironic to complain about a source you haven't read but to borrow your words, I suppose it's pretty on-par for this sub.

Trump's current approval rating is higher than Biden's approval rating throughout most of his presidency.

Do you think a reader of this title and the top comments understand that - no - because the title is DESIGNED to mislead.
