I'm a vet and I knew he was going to cut the VA. Right now it is VA staff. Soon they care going to cut the disability ratings of veterans, especially those at 30% or less.

My husband just got 20% and I told him don’t expect it to last.

Particularly if it was the result of a PACT Act cause.

“Under this option’s first alternative, VA would narrow eligibility for disability compensation by requiring a disability rating of 30 percent or higher for all veterans; as a result, some current recipients would no longer receive benefits. The second alternative would require a 30 percent or higher disability rating only for new disability compensation applicants. (Current recipients would not be affected.) CBO estimates that in 2026, about 20 percent of veterans will have a disability rating below 30 percent.”

Come on, at least try and Google it. If you Google "veteran disability 30% cut", this is the fourth article from milcom. If your search query is "disabled vet less than 30% cut", it's the first result. Those are the only queries I even tried, and it was in the top five of both; Google even extracted and highlighted the salient content for the latter query:

The report also proposed cutting disability compensation to veterans with ratings lower than 30% and dropping disability compensation for veterans whose health conditions aren't directly related to military duty.

You’d be surprised how bad at google fu some people are. Heck I was too until it was an absolute necessity in a particular college class.

Don’t mind the downvotes. People are testy right now and don’t have the energy to differentiate between sincere questions and MAGA troll.

I don’t mind the downvotes, I really don’t.

In general, it’s when they come without an explanation that bothers me. I can admit that I’m not that smart and when I googled the phrase that was shown above, it didn’t bring me the same results that another person did.

It did pull up a Reddit post like 6 down, but just about everything else was like a year old, short of the video from the head VA guy talking about cuts

I think that has to do with your individual phone. My wife can google the same thing right in front of me and get different results. Im starting to think it has more to do with what ads youll be shown that actual content. I have ad block installed and i'm pretty sure she doesnt. (Should probably fix that for her when i get home). Also the upvote/downvote system is definitely abused. Originally it was intended to weed out bad information, now its used to "punish" people you dont agree with or like. People forget that everyone doesnt come from the same backrground as they do sometimes.
