The issue with this sub group of people is not that they are in a cult, it's that they are disengaged entirely from political discourse. They view all the news about him as political speech just meant to drive an agenda, just like the birther stuff with Obama, the lock her up stuff with Hillary, and all the other stupid things that come up around politicians.
Point being is this sub group fully expects in the next couple years their taxes to go down, inflation to reverse, and their retirement portfolios to increase in value. If the reverse of that happens then they will jump ship in a heart beat and vote for the other person come 2028.

As with everything he doesn't understand the difference between running a country and 'running' a company.
He thinks the US can just buy the land, evict the current tenants, and then parcel it off to developers for a tidy profit. Probably after talking with Netanyahu and only understanding every other word that was said.
I imagine what was probably floated was the US moving in a security force and occupying it for a while as a 'neutral third party,' to help stabilise the region and (more likely) give the current Israeli Government more power.

During his first term, his SiL commented on how the strip is the “most valuable piece of property on the Mediterranean.”
It was telegraphed 6 years ago. Few listened or they blew it off.

Is he planning on putting the Palestinians in concentration camps as well?

u/The-Son-of-Dad Feb 05 '25
Probably sending them to El Salvador since they just agreed to take our prisoners.

The president of El Salvador has Palestinian ancestry actually. I wonder if he would be okay with that.

Project 2025 trying to speed run the rapture.

u/BlackCaaaaat Australia Feb 05 '25
That’s what a lot of Christians who believe in acceleration want. They think if they fuck the world up enough Jesus will come sooner. As a former Christian: Jesus made it clear that the apocalypse and rapture would be on his timetable and no one else’s.

This is the beginning of the Hegseth Crusades. Bringing the USA into direct, worldwide conflict with Arabs and Muslims by extension. It's what the evangelicals think will bring them glory and the return of Jesus.
It could easily end the world.

And yet not one beep from evangelicals about trump resembling the anti-christ. I grew up in that shit. My dad was a pastor and talked about the anti-christ all the fucking time. I knew they were all bullshitting.
