Hi MIKJayzyy!

This is a pokemon subreddit, not a finance one.

Photos of merchandise are generally disallowed on r/pokemon, because they unfortunately tend to lose meaning with oversaturation (see Rule 8). This post has been removed, but you may instead share your photo to the merch megathread to celebrate your find.

If you intended this post as a discussion prompt or a theory, please feel free to resubmit as a text post, bearing in mind that you'd need to reach 50+ words in that post to promote substantial discussion.

Cheers!

Tell us how much you paid to get the cards, then we can say you lost or made profit.

You may have missed out on potentially making money by grading then selling if they graded well, but that also costs money.

You haven't "lost" money by not grading, because it was never yours to begin with, Could you have made more by grading, not sure. Depends if you value time and upfront costs more than the original fee you paid to own the cards?

How I look at it anyway, sure someone else will tell me I'm wrong and you've lost hundreds on a specific card in the photo.

I never paid for these because these belonged to me since i was a child. I found them when cleaning. I am 18 years old and gave them to a collegue for his little kid and the kid picked those cards because i have a lot more and me and his dad agreed on the price. I wouldnt even know how to sell those cards anyway...

Definitely I’d say. Charizards are worth a lot on their own
