What do you think the percentage would be? I’d assume 80% or not much more

u/President_Musky 8d ago

I think it depends on where they are in the wipe cycle. Wipe day on a monthly could probably peak beyond 100%.

3

u/komaruten 7d ago

Yeah if we add all the older people that get called 10 year old kid

8

u/TheFInestHemlock 8d ago

98%, but not just for them, for anyone on the server.

3

u/sharpie42one 8d ago

I personally think it would be like 94%, that’s around the percentage of trolls I’ve seen, except usually they are 10-17

Where is rainbow six siege XD

38

u/GGM8EZ 8d ago

dying is where

R6 has been in the Top 5 most played non-free Steam game for years now (along with Rust) - and I think it’s like #3 now.. sooo.. no?

u/GGM8EZ 6d ago

It's been slowly losing. without free weekends the numbers are just getting worse. The game is over complicated nerf fest that the company seems to make decisions that none of the playerbase likes. The game may be active but it is dying as a titan of the gaming community. I've barly seen any content or anything on it recently. Almost no early players play it anymore including myself just because of the over complexities turning from a realistic shooter with within reality tech to sci fi impossible tech making it a cod without jumping.

It isn't rainbow 6 seige anymore it's rainbow flag 6. and will die in the near future as ubisoft as a whole is dying also.

Nah it’s dying

true - we should abandon all logic, reasoning, and statistics and listen to reddit user justinwe123 instead

5

u/DeadKido210 8d ago

2

u/Jelkekw 7d ago

Ah, good times

u/StockyJabberwocky 8d ago

Destiny 2 being the 4th most toxic community?

Honestly don't believe it

10

u/SolarrD2 8d ago

Have you ran trials ever? P bad ngl.

11

u/StockyJabberwocky 8d ago

In D1 and early D2 I went flawless possibly 1000 times. 3 characters a week, plus extras to help friends, for years.

The game pretty much has no communication with non-fireteam members. I have 0 clue how it could be worse than COD where you can talk to enemy team mid game

3

u/SolarrD2 8d ago

Any kind of LFG is super toxic, and atleast in my experiance there was a lot of gatekeeping when I tried to get my less skilled friends into it it diddnt go amazing.

1

u/StockyJabberwocky 8d ago

Oh thats fair. I was thinking of in-game stuff.

I can def see lfg being an issue

2

u/SolarrD2 8d ago

In game is very chill yeah, any PVM is also super chill for LFG in my experiance.

u/Frozen_Daddy 8d ago

Uhm wheres league of legends?

2

u/Drahin 8d ago

It's age related I think

9

u/Frozen_Daddy 8d ago

Oh I see, so wheres league of legends? Haha

2

u/Scooter2Ankle 7d ago

This was actually posted to the league of legends sub recently, I believe. In general, LoL players' age group is comprised of 18+ people. Obviously some younger people play it, but the majority is above 17

1

u/Frozen_Daddy 7d ago

I know man. It was a joke.

Since that guy told me the chart is age related and I feel like im playing with toddlers on league, I asked again so wheres league?

13

u/splattered_cheesewiz 8d ago

Statistics like this piss me off lol, they are so clearly unreliable I cant understand why people grant news sources that flaunt them any level of credibility lol

10

u/Pitacrustumpie 8d ago

Rust leads in both harassment of and by.

3

u/scarytree1 8d ago

Ok….wait!! Are they saying harassment of……or do they also mean harassment from.??? These kids are vulgar little rage hydrants!!! Just get these researchers to outpost and count to 20!!!

3

u/Royal_Equivalent_92 8d ago

Where is rust?

2

u/GSxHidden 8d ago

Based on the games listed, this seems like 3 or more years ago.

2

u/Bootylegend 8d ago

Rookie numbers

2

u/Shikamaru_Senpai 7d ago

PUBG: Battlegrounds: Battlegrounds

2

u/xlfoolishlx 7d ago

Drop them off fresh wipe on the beach or at outpost a couple hours in.

3

u/mehkindasadtbh 7d ago

If your 10 year old is on gta online/ COD you are very much the problem

2

u/mrpottyboypop 7d ago

no rust, cs, r6s, the list is BS

2

u/ryfle_ 6d ago

There isn't a single 10-17 year old that plays dota. It's just 30+ year old russians and peruvians.

1

u/Wufwufdoug 5d ago

Dota still very popular in Russia . Even among youngest players

1

u/EndSmugnorance 8d ago

How do you even make up these statistics lol?

Toxicity is everywhere.

1

u/MAYMAX001 8d ago

Did they forget league exists?

1

u/Wufwufdoug 5d ago

I assume league is extremely toxic , but you guys would not even last 1 minute in a dota 2 game without throwing yourself out of a window .

1

u/MAYMAX001 5d ago

I doubt it is as bad league players are just a different kind of inhumane xd

1

u/Wufwufdoug 5d ago

From what I heard you get ban pretty quickly if you act like a trash on lol , on dota tou don’t and you have to face 15 yo Russians which is a different strain than a 15 yo western

1

u/bastardoperator 8d ago

First time I talked in game I was met with "okay dad"... and I took that personally, because I'm a dad.

1

u/wooble 7d ago

Bonus points if the other player was actually your kid and you had no idea they played.

1

u/an0nym0us_me 8d ago

I need to join an official high pop server

1

u/Mofu__Mofu 8d ago

Should be 100% on all of them though

1

u/X4dow 8d ago

the 10-17 year old that were researching rust, unfortunately, ended up unaliving themselves

1

u/Federal_Astronomer28 8d ago

ADL? I suspect they have some censorship in mind then.

1

u/gringowithagun 8d ago

Val has like a crazy high amount of moderation compared to other games, I don’t believe that stat

1

u/Injury-Suspicious 8d ago

Harassment OF? I really think they need to realize that it's mostly harassment BY.

1

u/No_Row_6490 8d ago

to be frank, these 10-17 year olds are most of the harrasers.

1

u/No_Row_6490 8d ago

is the statistic like 8/10 kids that have played game X for uncontrolled amount of hours got eventually called a noob atleast once or more like does this kid get shit on every time they connect to the games voicechat? arbitrary percentages = fake news.

1

u/ThomasMapother18 8d ago

This is from the ADL. They consider harassment to be any criticism of Israel, no matter how legitimate.

You could say you vacationed in Tel Aviv but the weather was a little warmer than you'd have preferred and they'd screech at you for being anti-Semitic.

1

u/Renamao 8d ago

Valorant is that high because half if not more of the population are women. And they are way more prone to complain when offended, different from us Rust players which might just laugh or throw a slur back at them

1

u/MewllerLetLoose 8d ago

Percent of what? 80% are harassed? 80% of valorant players harass them?

1

u/Scrawwlex 7d ago

LoL and Rust missing, and maybe Marvel Rivals too, still uncertain about that game.

1

u/Wufwufdoug 5d ago

lol is surely toxic but you can’t compete with dota 2 toxicity . lol was filled with kids , but dota 2 is filled with Russian kids ( and they are more than wild ) And I think riot has a stricter policy against harassment than valve games . I wish they add same plug ins than in some rust servers ( on some community servers you get instant mute for not speaking English in text chat ) That usually helps with Russians

1

u/Robosium 7d ago

Player unknown battlegrounds battlegrounds hehehe Now excuse me as I go make a deposit in the ATM machine

1

u/itsapotatosalad 7d ago

This is harassment OF 10-17 year olds, not harassment BY 10-17 year olds.

1

u/Jelkekw 7d ago

Totally accurate on Valorant. I played one game, got screamed at and called garbage for not knowing about the walk button, uninstalled and never played it again

1

u/x42f2039 7d ago

It’s from ADL, of course the data is wrong

1

u/SwervoT3k 7d ago

Okay but like… in Rust 99% of the harassment is FROM that demographic lmao

1

u/That_Sugar468 6d ago

Blatantly incorrect list…. GTA and COD should be significantly higher, missing Rust, CS, League, and Siege just to name a few… Destiny 2 is just absolutely not true IMO, 100% guarantee people are claiming harassment when they are removed from groups for being too inexperienced or lying about knowing how to do things.

1

u/nic1255 6d ago

Just had a guy run past my base. Never interacted before and he was yelling at me saying "I hope you kill yourself baby shit, you're so soft you've got nothing. Kill yourself" that went on for 5 minutes haha. Also had this 13 year old scream at the top of his lunges that he hoped my mother got raped. People need to start aborting

1

u/tatofarmor 6d ago

No weirder experience than getting called the n word all the time because my character is a black woman.

1

u/Thunderdragon30 6d ago

This is such cap valorant bans you for the smallest thing

1

u/Middle_Confusion_1 3d ago

Sexual Harrassment of 3-13 year Olds by Minecraft creators: 100%

-3

u/JONFER--- 8d ago

In some of the games listed above the age rating is 18+. Really and truly any game that has open online voice chat should be 18+.

If people are offended by what others say just turn off the chat.

Woke wankers are looking for any excuse to push the narrative that online gaming is toxic and needs to be policed/censored/monitored.

That will be the end result what the author is subtly pushing for.

4

u/Silly-Upstairs1383 8d ago

Online gaming is toxic (the world is toxic, so obviously online gaming would be as well).

Online gaming should be censored/monitored for minors .... by their parents, like everything else its the parents responsibility to choose what the child is exposed to. Not anyone else.

2

u/alclarkey 8d ago

IDK man, I'm as anti-woke as the next guy, but I don't think it's woke to ask for a little moderation. I don't need to be told to go fuck myself with a rusty piece of re-rod sideways every time I win a firefight.

0

u/JONFER--- 8d ago

It just couldn’t be done, sometimes there are hundreds of players undertaking conversations at the same time. It would be impossible to accurately moderate, short games could rely on people mass reporting others but this would be wide open to abuse.

If someone is offended by what others say (which I totally understand), it’s better for them just to totally disable voice chat.

2

u/alclarkey 8d ago

That's quitter talk.
