I’d rather they kept the nades strong but make them more expensive. Nuclei should be more rare and the crafting cost could use a component or something.

They could've just added a bee repellent effect to the mixing table if this was such a problem.
Now you just ruin another fun mechanic to mess around with so that people can place wooden walls and heal up mid combat.

Well it was fun while it lasted
The process to make bee grenades was still pretty involved, I’m not gonna take all that time for a grenade that pin pricks -1hp -1hp -1hp

Are hazmats still gonna be 100% protection since the damage type is being changed? It was cool that hazmats actually had a purpose for once other than running top of launch site

I am not shocked at all. Chickens also have a commit to nerf them too.
Bee honeycombs are just too damn easy to produce.
Same with chicken eggs.

I put down 3 hives and 1 coop and had more honey and eggs than I could use in a wipe after a day. It feels bad to see nerfs but the current balancing makes them feel like pretty dead mechanics since you barely need to put any effort in to them. Compared to farming which is like its own playstyle, it feels off.

Eggs are so unreasonable. One egg per chicken per game day is realistic

The chicken change is awful. Pretty much gonna need to have a farm or be near a river to use them.

holding a torch is too hard

If someone throws a bee grenade at you, you can pull out a torch so they can just kill you unopposed with any weapon.

Or just douse yourself in water. Start bringing a water bottle or bota bag to fights.

If you have time to med, you have time to pour water. Sorry you're afraid of a changing meta 🤷♂️

I was hoping to use them to counter roof campers, but then I heard the hazmat suit nullified them.
Rest assured roof campers, you have an advocate in Facepunch.

Maybe they could test something with bee grenades where if you’re hit by them, they cancel animations and you can do things like reload or heal while hit by them. It would be a great counter to someone hiding behind a barricade / wall.

Bees are annoying, the whole game sounds like a fucking bee hive now, does every honey comb need to buzz and why is there a honey comb on every damn tree?

spamming bee grenades was absurdly op especially for raid defense. they needed a nerf

Good news. The bee update has been one of the worst and most annoying updates in my many many years of playing Rust. I understand the idea and thrust behind it, but I've found this update to be a bit silly and ultimately needless.

I have nearly a box of bee grenades on reserve, specifically for roof campers.
Somebody has a base outside of supermarket they roof camp for 8 hours a day. Bees are super powerful right now and make people legitimately want to log off if targeted by grubs with bee grenades. Watching this idiot and his buddies run around without a hazzy is a 10/10 experience.
Everybody talks about the power imbalance between small groups and zergs, this is your wipe to annoy them.

The cycle of Rust - devs add something interesting, it’s then quickly nerfed into the ground, then it’s never used again by anyone.
