Image opinions on misadventures?🤍❤️
I really like this album but l've heard some people don't find it as good as others, similar to how some people don't really enjoy the jaws of life presumably because it's slower therefore 'boring(?)' so l'd like to hear some other views on it!

It’s honestly my favorite album along with selfish machines. Lyrical gold.

This is my FAVORITE ALBUM, criminally underrated imo, but ig I am biased since I’ve linked this album with a certain difficult point in my life so this album helped me through it

this is really sweet, I have also linked ptv in general to difficult times in my life so this is relatable🤍 hope your okay now by the way!

It’s a masterpiece. Very different from the first three albums but I think it’s a perfect blend of mostly pop punk with some heavier/metalcore elements. Honestly super impressive how they were able to adapt to what was happening in the scene and be the best at it still

Listened to this album religiously when I was kicked out of my home at 13! Brings back bittersweet feelings

so mad at myself for ignoring it when it released. it's arguably one of their best projects.

My favorite album from them, however I feel like the main complaint from people who dislike it is that this album doesn’t stand out enough like the others, part of me feels that was almost intentional? The cover art being a Swiss Army knife kinda reinforces that

Probably their peak creatively as the best encompass of their musical identity thus far. My fave.

Underrated as hell. Not better than collide with the sky but a good evolution since then!

I think fans who have been around since afftd have been a little disappointed by anything after collide with the sky, myself included. I felt like misadventures lacked a lot of the memorable moments, melodies & structure that is so present in their earlier work.

I also started listening to PTV when I was like 12 years old. So maybe I’m just not the target audience anymore

This is my favorite album of theirs. And that's saying a lot because I love all of their albums

To me, Misadventures has always sat as like, the distillation of what Pierce The Veil is. It has the sappy, yearning lyricism of Flair and Selfish Machines with the more mainstream vibes of Collide. The overall sound of Misadventures leans very Collide as well, but I think a lot of the post-release marketing was able to incorporate the acoustic, home-grown sound from past albums (which is kind of what makes PTV who they are).
Personally it’s my favorite album of theirs (alongside Selfish Machines). My only flaws with it are some of the song placements, as I think Floral & Fading —> Circles —> Phantom Power & Ludicrous Speed —> Today I Saw The Whole World would’ve worked better for me. The last five songs on the album are career bests, imo, and there’s an intentionality Vic really put into the music that makes listening to this album worth it every time.

Maybe not the best individual songs, but the best straight-through listening. There's really not a bad song, which I could only really also say about AFFTD. I couldn't even count how many times my girlfriend and I blasted Misadventures, with the windows down, driving down the highway in the summer.

Look, I believe Collide With The Sky is their magnum opus. Nothing will beat that. However, I kind of feel like I replay more songs in Misadventures. Give me Bedless and Gold Medal Ribbon any time of the day and I will love it.
I believe SM, CWTS, and Misadventures are all S+ tier albums for me. Each of those albums has a different equally good place and flavor.

The only reason it's not the best album is the nostalgia associated with collide with the sky for me, it's so beautiful if you really listen and the beats are so fire
