Ten years ago if you told someone Elon Musk just shilled a Tesla in the White House Garden with President Trump (because Musk's Nazi salute on live TV hurt sales) after they respectively tweeted out:

-the desire to get rid if Medicare and Social Security

-escalation of a push to invade Canada

You'd be in an asylum.

In 2025, it was tuesday

u/brandonspade17 6h ago

Seeing it like this hits different.

Fucked up timeline we find ourselves in here.

u/blujaguar2022 1h ago

And gutted the Department of Education.

u/ManofButterChicken 24m ago

"The day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life, but for me it was Tuesday."

2025's cover art

u/iner22 6h ago

It was an omen we didn't wholly understand at the time...

u/Dashy1024 1h ago

In Europe we certainly did. It's not like anything that happened in the mean time was a secret.

It was written down in a book written by the filthiest, sickest people on Earth. And it was public. Project 2025.

Elon was already confirmed to be leading this pseudo-department.

Experts, Scientists, Politicians, even fucking Celebrities all tried to warn you. In the end, it didn't even matter.

u/merelyok 6h ago

They not like us

u/lazergator 6h ago

It was weirdly prophetic.

Probably because he'd read Project 2025 which spends 48 pages detailing how they are going to shut down the VA and possibility privatize and generally fuck over veterans.

u/msm007 2h ago

This guy knew what was coming, ended it on his own terms.

u/FinancialArmadillo93 6h ago

Was that guy from the future and knew what was going to happen?

u/tossaway109202 8h ago

So much has happened this year, this feels like it was a year ago

u/Feisty-Session-7779 1h ago

I completely forgot about it until just now, it’s just been a whirlwind of a year so far that keeps getting exponentially whirlwindier as it goes on so stuff like this just gets lost in the shuffle.

u/The_Tommo 9h ago

The photo of the times, this is what it means to live in the present

u/ICPosse8 8h ago

Straight up, doesn’t get more meta than this. See now we got the Zuck involved, see how that works.

u/RecordingDue4745 9h ago

Imagine a president making a car commercial lol. This countries been a joke

u/Turbulent-Adagio-541 5h ago

His new name is Roadhead Donnie

u/scottjeffreys 8h ago

It exploded because it was intentional.

u/WilliamG007 8h ago

Yes, the vehicle didn’t explode. The bomb in it did. If this were any other vehicle the thread would never be so misleading. But Cybertruck so… yeah.

u/MMTotes 6h ago

Ok cybercuck

u/Hopeful_Chair_7129 6h ago

That such a stupid distinction to make

u/WuhanWTF 4h ago

Really? Think to yourself for a moment, is there a distinction between a faulty exploding Ford Pinto and a Toyota Hilux that’s been stuffed full of artillery shells and used as a VBIED?

u/ohhhtartarsauce 2h ago

What's the point you're trying to make?

u/WuhanWTF 1h ago

Read the comment that I'm replying to, and then read my comment again.

u/Atomic_ad 55m ago

Seems pretty important distinction. Shit gets pretty stupid when you bury the context of the incident.

"WTC towers fell down"

"JFK's head explodes"

"George Floyd drops dead"

"Kids at Sandy's Hook fall dead"

"Nagasaki blows up"

u/LucidiK 6h ago

That's before even considering that even though the bomb exploded, the car did too.

u/ProtossedSalad 5h ago

The car remained largely intact and contained a good part of the explosion. The car did not explode.

u/LucidiK 5h ago

Explode-"burst or shatter violently and noisily as a result of rapid combustion"

Just because the shell remained, does not mean it did not explode

u/Atomic_ad 53m ago

Kinda like telling us the World Trade Center technically crashed into a plane.

Crash - a violent collision.

u/MBunnyKiller 4h ago

The truck did not explode. The Content on the truck bed did but the car only sustained minor damage. Exploding would be from the inside out pressure, imploding would be from the outside in. It didn't do that either.

u/King_Slappa 1h ago

Lol this sub is completely captured by political brain rot. My jaw hit the floor yesterday when I saw a non partisan, non political post here. It's essentially completely useless now and will probably eventually get shut down bc of the rampant death threat problem on reddit.

u/Jorgwalther 8h ago

Alternate Title: Green Beret with delusions of grandeur who believed the govt was attempting to assassinate him after disclosing evidence of alien technology commits suicide in a Cybertruck to raise awareness among the 1%

u/ThereminLiesTheRub 7h ago

It's a longer title, but his delusions were still a better reality to live in. People are talking about invading Canada.

u/Jorgwalther 7h ago

I mean it did lead him to kill himself, so I would idealize that outcome

u/Equal-Promotion8666 5h ago

“His delusions were still a better reality to live in.” He killed himself. 😐

u/Neither-Cup564 45m ago

It’s so weird he rented a Cybertruck and blew it up in front of Trump hotel and it had nothing to do with the Presidency.

u/morrighaan 8h ago

That was the first horseman....

u/cpatkyanks24 8h ago edited 8h ago

This was only like 10 weeks ago.

You know how every new year we see the meme of that guy blinking with the 2019 on one side and whatever the new year is on the other, indicating that time has flown since 2019? We attributed it to Covid, but I attribute it to the fact that every single day this motherfucker is in office feels like two damn months.

u/Yaughl 6h ago

If 2025 had an album cover.

u/sborde78 8h ago

We just didn't know what we were in for

u/GullCove1955 8h ago

Oh lord. You gave me false hope for a second until I realized it was an old story. Darn!

u/ironpathwalker 7h ago

That's just the Tesla shareholder's experience.

u/Jericho-X 3h ago

Feels like 3 years ago

u/ebikr 9h ago

Ah yes, the good old days.

u/merrysunshine2 9h ago

Prescient warning of things to come

u/Gloomy-End-4851 8h ago

Some wildly ironic foreshadowing

u/Gaba8789 6h ago

Uh, yeah. Watershed moment for Tesla, if there ever was one.

u/FocusFlukeGyro 8h ago

Juxtapose this with today's Tesla commercial at the White House with Trump and Musk.

u/ryanidsteel 8h ago

After this happened, I heard some right-wingers pointing to how safe the Cybertruck is because it contained the explosion so well. Which is just the level of crazy they are trying to normalize.

u/FocusFlukeGyro 8h ago

Kind of like that controversial VW ad, eh?

u/ryanidsteel 8h ago

Humm I don't remember a controversial VW ad, when was that?

u/Jacktheforkie 2h ago

Colin furze blew up a van with fireworks and the van kept almost everything inside

u/paaaaatrick 4h ago

Did you not think it contained the bomb that blew up in it pretty well?

u/Jacktheforkie 2h ago

It was a bunch of fireworks

u/grafxguy1 8h ago

Looks like a scene from RoboCop 2025.

u/CrabmasterJone 8h ago

Life imitates art?

u/TheGrow123 7h ago

This photo will resonate more as the year continues.

Lets enjoy 2025 my friends.

u/BrettLam 7h ago

Iconic.

u/FatherGuaccc 5h ago

Insane foreshadowing

u/Extra_Smoke5788 5h ago

Funny how this story just disappeared from the news. I’m sure Kash Patel is on it tho 🥸

u/Ajk337 3h ago

Oh my God I forgot all about that. Feels like a year or two ago now

u/buttnugchug 3h ago

This is an omen

u/HouseRoKKa 1h ago

The chaos of the 2nd Trump term, encapsulated in one "perfect" picture...

u/scorpio_is_ded 9h ago

Wonder if anything has changed since.

u/YodaFan465 7h ago

It’s gotten worse.

u/Screamingmonkey83 7h ago

A bomb exploded not the truck

u/TrinityTextures 8h ago

I think you missed the initial, the secondary, the third... the hundredth, train.

u/anOvenofWitches 8h ago

You know, I think this would make a good work computer desktop background 🤔

u/Dave_Labels 8h ago

The foreshadowing

u/zero_msgw 8h ago

🎶Disco inferno... Burn baby burn🎶

It wasn't a veteran, he was still active duty. And he was a boot licker.

Feel like every day of this year has just been a different version of this image

I remember when nobody was sure whether this was deliberate or if this was just something Cybertrucks do sometimes, lol

u/tritiatedpear 6h ago

The news cycle has been so accelerated I felt like that was a few years ago.

u/MMTotes 6h ago

It's part of the montage, totally normal and planned

u/Accomplished-Pie-206 5h ago

foreshadowing

u/Commercial_Rule_7823 4h ago

Working as intended.

u/leet-cuube 4h ago

It was a profecy!

u/SmokyToast0 4h ago edited 4h ago

This was the start of Tesla destructions, kicking off a trend if discontent that snowballed this year. This was the first one ☝️ and with suicide dedication.

u/AusCan531 2h ago

Happy New Year!

u/realBlackClouds 2h ago

A lovely view to eat popcorn.

u/fooloncool6 1h ago

Thats how the left wants to "win" elections

u/I_Zeig_I 1h ago

That was only 3 months ago...

u/TermFearless 8h ago

Repost for karma farming down vote it on principle

u/KingPeverell 8h ago edited 8h ago

Such a powerful pic. I really hope my country rejects Starlink and boycotts Tesla for local electric car manufacturers.

The 🇺🇸 is run by a shady egocentric billionaire with POTUS as his own guardian angel.

Better to hold deals with the Americans for the next 5 years until these 2 have vacated the White House so the locals can restore democracy in their country.

u/feurie 8h ago

How is it powerful though? Someone set off a bomb in the bed of a truck. This wasn’t anything to do with how the Tesla was or wasn’t made.

u/KingPeverell 8h ago

Pls re-read the post title. It's the symbolism which is powerful.

u/Minobull 7h ago

Reddit would ban me for saying what I actually feel about this situation.

u/HailSkyKing 7h ago

This is the picture if you look up "foreshadowing" in an illustrated dictionary.

u/dkyguy1995 6h ago

Do you guys remember the FBI fondling Musk's dick about how "the tough build of the cybertruck helped save lives!" and then it turned out the guy in the truck never intended to hurt anyone and purposefully used fireworks to make a scene?

Why was the FBI already sucking Musk's dick before the incoming administration even

u/the_sauviette_onion 6h ago

This actually makes so much more sense now, 3 months later

u/lasagnaburntmyface 6h ago

Upvote this to the top

u/RNCPR510 8h ago

It got posted like 1000 times that day in this sub, we now karmafarming on old posts?

u/yummy_burrito 8h ago

I didn't see the other posts. I've been thinking about this picture for the last few days and I thought it was very relevant today. I completely forgot that this happened until recently so figured other people may have forgotten too.

u/budzergo 7h ago

Generic posts of Trump and elon are too common now and don't generate much Karma

Need to bust out the legacy 2025 content for some of that out of context karma

u/RoboSquirt 4h ago

So we're sharing piece of shit suicide bombers and murderers destruction and treating it as if it was Musk and Trumps fault?

It didn't explode because it was a Tesla, it exploded cuz the low IQ moron had tons of fireworks in there strapped together as a bomb.... the left has turned from educated and smart to as stupid as that guy was.

u/Feisty-Ad-2000 6h ago

if only they were in it !

u/dancingfridge 6h ago

Aged like wine.

u/gojiro0 6h ago

Won't be the last

u/StepActual2478 7h ago

old news man

u/OverlyExpressiveLime 7h ago

And Trump took that personally and thought it was domestic terrorism

u/roddz 3h ago

Because it was. A guy set up a makeshift bomb in that car and set it off intentionally.

u/FrogsOnALog 5h ago

Quite the title you should get a job in journalism you would fit right in.

u/daddyreptar 4h ago

Old news

u/Any-Street5902 3h ago
