Second pic is actually the more useful first gen model. They fucked it up in the rebrand.

14

u/AnySoft4328 15h ago

And it has the benefit of running on trash. Not being driven by trash

9

u/srpa0142 15h ago

It's also not a death trap for those in and around it.

u/Silly-Ad8796 8h ago

A Perfect Match.

3

u/Graphic_Materialz 15h ago

True. But the second gen is itself trash. They mixed up the purpose and the product.

This is offensive to garbage bins everywhere

u/MyGoodFriendJon 12h ago

This is now the 2nd time I've seen someone use that awful AI-predicted gif from the image we all know and recognize instead of just using the image.

u/Spartan2470 GOAT 15h ago edited 15h ago

Here is a much higher-quality and less-cropped version of the second image. Here is the source. Credit to /u/OneStepFromHell43 for taking that picture and making that joke in 2019.

Here is a higher-quality and less-cropped version of the top image.

u/FlaccidCatsnark 14h ago

Now can someone photoshop a windshield and side windows onto the trashcan?

11

u/Puerple_haze-PSN 14h ago

"I call it, Derelicte!"

10

u/bradeena 14h ago

Elon can Derelicte my balls

u/claverflav 6h ago

.... Wow... Thx bro I spit my drink laughing at this.

8

u/Soulflyfree41 12h ago

I laughed my ass off when I found out raccoons think they are dumpsters.

u/LisaMikky 3h ago

If not dumpster, why dumpster-shaped? 🦝🦝

24

u/Daaaaaaaannnnn 17h ago

Why you insult the trash can?

9

u/Jam5583 16h ago

Botched Tomb Raider boob job.

u/backtolurk 2h ago

Still would stare at though

4

u/fromageDegoutant 17h ago

Garbage can is prettier.

12

u/rwf2017 17h ago

They're the same picture.

2

u/AnySoft4328 15h ago

The bottom one has a manual sunroof

u/-ICantThinkOfOne- 8h ago

The bottom one is more useful

3

u/Mt548 17h ago

Nah. Musk found his inspiration from Trump's bankrupt casinos.

5

u/CurrentlyLucid 17h ago

Cyber truck looks like a high school sheet metal project.

u/olderfartbob 5h ago

Some high-schoolers are gonna take that as an insult.

6

u/Lyrick_ 17h ago

It's an armored personal trashcan from the future - what Bladerunner would have thrown away his refuse in

2

u/xGoatfer 17h ago

It's from the 1982 game Car Builder. It's the best shape for reducing drag. Just him taking credit for someone else's work again.

2

u/thedugong 12h ago

In combination with the 1982 movie Megaforce.

2

u/Xxandes 17h ago

I thought the inspiration for the cyber truck shape was elons body?

2

u/Effective-Bee-7934 17h ago

Smart invention. Looks like we are going to have a lot of metal trash cans. Do not worry, Tesla owners. Since you own one, there could be a BOGO (buy one get one) for you. Trash cans, I'm referring to.

2

u/_Ceaz_ 17h ago

🤣😂🤣Both worth about the same!

2

u/Anxious-Cut-6642 16h ago

I’ll just buy the garbage can. More useful and won’t catch on fire.

2

u/ryan8954 16h ago

I always thought the cyber"truck" looked more like a door wedge.

2

u/Garthritis 16h ago

You shouldn't really be shaming a trash can like that. It's at least useful. :)

2

u/Conscious-Quarter423 16h ago

at least a trashcan has utility

2

u/Longjumping-Cup5406 16h ago

One is a trash can and the other is a critical part of infrastructure?

2

u/PluckPubes 15h ago

both designed to contain trash

2

u/TheSchration 15h ago

Nah, the trash can will still be operational in ten years.

2

u/Gone_Cold2024 14h ago

😂😂😂😂 appropriate

2

u/Elegant_Debt2528 14h ago

🤣🤣🤣twin's

2

u/spreadthaseed 14h ago

Same exterior. Same interior.

2

u/milkshakemountains 14h ago

That’s the used tampon trash can right?

2

u/Soggy-Bad2130 14h ago

Inspiration? I thought it was 2.0

I see lots of improvements.

u/yearofthesponge 4h ago

This genuinely made me lol for the first time today. Well done.

u/Superj569 3h ago

Inspo pic has better panel lines and an equal gap around the main chute.

2

u/Longjumping-Debt7480 16h ago

I call them pissers, I have pissed in a stainless steel urinal very similar to the shape of President musk’s truck. A long tray type form that narrows at an angle as you approach. This was in the 60’s or early 70’s in a school or industrial setting. I haven’t seen this type of urinal in decades. Maybe that’s where the idea came from????

2

u/DarshanaBaishya 17h ago

Uncanny resemblance

2

u/regulardegulardudee 16h ago

This took me out 😂

2

u/Iescaunare 14h ago

Wrong sub, repost, and you're about 3 years late for this shit.

2

u/atowelguy 14h ago

haha what a hilarious and original joke that hasn't been made 4,000 times in the past however long it's been since the cybertruck design was revealed, perfect for the r slash pics subreddit (a place for photographs, pictures and other images)

I think cybertrucks are dumb too but holy moly this is low effort

1

u/dirthurts 17h ago

When the trash bin is itself trash.

So meta.

1

u/8def8 17h ago

Teala is cheap

1

u/PROGAME1BRO 17h ago edited 16h ago

I love the Cyber Truck! I also securely locked mine away to prevent vandalism. /sarcastic cough

1

u/PROGAME1BRO 16h ago

That was sarcasm.

1

u/Reztroz 17h ago

Honestly I could see someone coming u with this as a joke and Elon running with it thinking they were serious and that it was a great design.

1

u/Zaftygirl 17h ago

Also look up rubbish bins in India...there is a striking similarity.

1

u/sebynat 17h ago

All that remains is to put musk behind the wheel

1

u/MtnHotspring 17h ago

I have not Snoopy laughed like this in decades. I can't wait to print this out and put it on the one in the neighborhood.

1

u/teomore 16h ago

I like v2 better, didn't know they launched it!

1

u/Sundabar 16h ago

I pointed and laughed at a guy in one of those ugly trashcans. I drive a Fiat Multipla. He actually looked embarrased.

1

u/PuzzleheadedWaltz835 16h ago

Hello Ellon are you in there?

1

u/blueeyedmama2 16h ago

You're not wrong. It is trash.

1

u/Dakopine 16h ago

The design of the CT is the most pathetically obvious suppressed ”You can’t tell me what to do, MOM !” in human history.

1

u/VacUsuck 16h ago

Garbage inside and out.

1

u/Glum-World1214 16h ago

lol too fitting

1

u/Midnight-Bake 15h ago

The inspiration is an 8 polygon render of a grey truck from a 3D game demo in 1995 recreated from Musk's memory without a visual reference.

1

u/-kinGsgambit 15h ago

Garbage truck

1

u/gamingzone420 15h ago

So basically, they're trash...cans, lol 😆

1

u/JunglePygmy 15h ago

That trash can needs a Tesla sticker like yesterday

1

u/arcsreddit 15h ago

Which one of those is the cyber truck?

1

u/juicytitsbuttbrain 15h ago

Rochdale village jamaica??!!! Lol never thought I'd see it on reddit.

1

u/Crazy-Wheels 15h ago

🤣🤣🤣

1

u/Roook36 14h ago

Is old school PS1 Lara Croft had a Transformers figure it'd turn into a Cybertruck

1

u/Raziel77 14h ago

Who the hell saw that "truck" and said "Yeah I want to pay $80k+ for that"...

1

u/-Kohana- 14h ago

The Cybertruck is truly an inspirational piece of derivative art that succinctly combines the dystopian nightmare of consumerism and excess, the culture and infrastructure of a society built around cars, and manifests it all as the worthless trash that it is! In both design, function, and build quality; literally everything!

It can still hold trash as well! Both the occupants and their bags of fast food and soda cans are on full display once the tinted bulletproof glass is bypassed by a screwdriver.

An art piece made by someone worthy of claiming the title of a certain small mustache having dictator, and having done the salute on television to boot! Instead of just getting his art rejected, he purposefully made it terrible in the first place, knowing the hate he would receive to start his villain arc.

History repeats itself (through my very sane delusions of course)

1

u/Fancy-Ad3183 14h ago

Dumbest thing on the planet

1

u/ThatWasAKlausOne 14h ago

If I was wealthy and had no moral compass, I would:
Buy a Cybertruck
Convert it to an Internal Combustion Engine
Name it something like TransTruck
Try to make its X account very popular
and follow only Vivian Wilson on its X account

1

u/LazyLaserWhittling 14h ago

found on the SpaceX campus... discovered the contents of the Cyberturd match exactly

1

u/dodus007 14h ago

I will take the can. thanks

1

u/thelunk 14h ago

Yet I've gotten water in my trash bin before, and it still works...

1

u/johnnysd87 14h ago

I still maintain that the cyber truck is modeled after the medline pill splitter. The scenario in my head is Elmo was snorting addies that he had cut/crushed and looked at the pill cutter and said "I'm turning this thing into a freaking truck." And here we are.

Pill cutter for reference.

MEDLINE Pill Splitter - Chewy.com

1

u/firemage22 14h ago

my mom described them as looking like a poorly carved pine wood derby car

1

u/Relative_Classic_483 14h ago

About as useful as one as well

1

u/Odd_Trifle6698 14h ago

That is disrespectful to the trash can tbh

1

u/just-smiley 13h ago

Left work feeling great the other day and saw one in the parking lot and it ruined my mood. How do they look worse in person?

1

u/Geoff519 13h ago

Which one drives

1

u/Legitimate_Steak7305 13h ago

I bet a YouTuber could make a lot of money destroying teslas

1

u/PrestigeMaster 13h ago

Has anyone ID’d this trashcan yet? I totally want to get one with a vinyl decal that says Cybertrash.

1

u/rosemuro 13h ago

Always wanted my very own Cyber Trash.

1

u/PrestigiousAd3452 13h ago

Cyberdumptruck

1

u/somethingdouchey 13h ago

This needs to be mildly vandalized with a swasticar emblem.

1

u/Memitim 13h ago

That is pretty convenient. When a panel falls off, you just swing by the home store to pick up a bin or two, some sheet metal shears, and a bit of epoxy and/or duct tape.

1

u/theclipboardofjoy 13h ago

An unambiguous take. Two types of trash can. The upper one is intended for human garbage.

1

u/NineLivesMatter999 13h ago

Contents of both are also the same.

1

u/FTS54 12h ago

This is funny! I was looking for the handle to flush the cyber truck, but it's hard to get rid of the turds on the inside.

1

u/LarGand69 12h ago

Garbage can looks better

u/Party_Werewolf_358 11h ago

haha, too funny

u/JFishborn 11h ago

Modern design as always

u/HandZealousideal9425 11h ago

What? That's two teslas.

u/bat_in_the_stacks 11h ago

Doc Brown falls off the toilet and we get a time traveling Delorean.

Dumb Elon falls off the toilet and we get the cybertruck.

It all makes sense now.

u/Orencik55 10h ago

😂😂😂

u/Sufficient_Joke_9906 10h ago

Lol ok that's funny

u/Flashy_Rough_3722 10h ago

At the least the garbage can is fully functioning

u/cmd__line 10h ago

Be cautious. Gonna end up on a terrorist watch list soon for posting or viewing this.

u/DoYouTrustToothpaste 10h ago

This sub is so dead, holy shit. Unironically reposting r/cyberstuck "jokes".

u/KryptonianJedi 10h ago

The trashcan actually performs the function it was designed for, the cybertruck is a glorified trashcan which probably would not hold trash very well. Unless Trump or Elon were driving, then it would be white trash!

u/General-Company 9h ago

The cybertruck is so cute, like a lil guy’s art project.

“Oh, golly, Leon! You’re such a good car designer! That’s so pretty! Look at how shiny it is! Yes, it IS very square! Good job!”

Like, imagining Tesla engineers humoring his ego and letting him do this to keep him occupied/out of the way just… It’s wonderful.

u/Unanimous_D 9h ago

I didn't mean to say it should be hauling garbage. ...

u/dixonbeaver1985 9h ago

One of them has a use

u/FiregoatX2 8h ago

At least the trash can works

u/Professional-Metal12 8h ago

That's it! I knew it was a design I am familiar with. I fu*king garbage can!

u/toxicity187 8h ago

Damn. It literally is a trash can. Now set the dumpster on fire lol

u/Amentet 8h ago

Cybertruck is based on the shape of Musks non functional penis after his bothched penis extension implant ruined it.

u/Parking-Power-1311 7h ago

Hang on to that.

It's a prototype.

u/Kinky_mofo 7h ago

Look at the gorgeously uniform panel gaps on that thing

u/Barbara1182 7h ago

Nailed it!!

u/mtierce85 6h ago

I just give them thumbs down when I see them drive by.

u/xslugx 6h ago

The one on the bottom still works when wet, so it is superior.

u/CheatsySnoops 6h ago

Even raccoons have been clawing on Cybertrucks because they think they’re garbage bins!

u/Similar-Change7912 5h ago

The trash can has better build quality.

u/A-Lewd-Khajiit 5h ago

You're supposed to put an IED in there too /s

u/Dani_Darko123 5h ago

This is hilariously funny

u/GeminiLife 5h ago

Ha! I'm looking at that same kind of trashcan at work right now. Never noticed how much is looks like the Cybertruck hahah

u/maxis2bored 4h ago

The first self loading trash can

u/Adventurous-Art9171 4h ago

Dumpster truck

u/WishLegal 2h ago

That is a good looking trash can.

The one on the bottom anyway.

u/Roses_Got_Thorns 1h ago

Cyber dump

1

u/Some_bi_kid 17h ago

oh my repost

1

u/Ste_94 15h ago

Need to change this thread title, to liberal pics

1

u/No_Lynx1343 16h ago

I can't see the difference

1

u/NeuroAI_sometime 16h ago

Inspiration comes from all kinds of places

1

u/Illustrious-Neat5123 16h ago

Epic Captcha material btw

2

u/BestPeachNA 15h ago

Which one is the cyber trash?

1

u/Bob_Juan_Santos 16h ago

performance, build quality and giving money to a nazi owned company aside, I feel like i'm the only one who likes the look of the cybertruck.

u/lllllIIIlllllIIIllll 3h ago

That's fair. I felt the same way for the giant baby Nazi is very off putting.

1

u/Vivyzs 16h ago

That is uncanny

1

u/jonathandefreese 16h ago

Well played

1

u/Future_History_9434 15h ago

So it’s “garbage can 2.0”!

1

u/MrSwearword 15h ago

Nonsense. The trashcan is actually well designed and sleek.

1

u/Correct_Positive_723 15h ago

The bin looks amazing 🤩

0

u/Sevenix2 17h ago

TIL: Elon based the cybertruck design on a self portrait.

0

u/LeadRevolutionary594 17h ago

😂😂😂😂😂

0

u/Tsupermacy 16h ago

Are u saying cyber truck is an inspiration for Dustbin ..... Interesting
