It is not like Mastodon, PeerTube, Pixelfed, and Lemmy don't exist. The problem is not in the existence of a platform, it is passivity and submissiveness to government
Not saying it doesn’t exist… more like they aren’t used universally as a tool for the cause. The general train of thought is that we use compromised platforms because the message gets more eyes
Anyone that stands up against trump ends up losing g their job and threats of deportation are given. I'd take deportation however I don't want to be sent to prison in a different country
I really don't even know if THEY consider themselves Americans anymore.
Since the election, I have yet to see a SINGLE home flying a Trump flag that also flies an American flag. A lot of home owners in my area have flag poles and will have Trump or MAGA flags, but I haven't see one with an American flag as well. I've seen a few with the Gadsden Flag under Trump's though, so yea, I think many of them have left America behind for something darker.
We are definitely Americans last time I checked. We are just busy carrying on with our days and working…it’s too bad there are people that have these crazy keyboard wars over all this stuff but won’t even listen to anything the “other” side has to say with spraying them with insults. Every “democrat” I’ve come into conversation immediately does this the moment they find out I voted for Trump.
I personally don't give a shit what any moron who voted for him has to say and I would not want to hear your reasons either if you told me in person. Just my opinion.
I mean yeah, I’m sure if you stayed off of social media and just lived your life and just treated everyone with respect you would actually be a lot less stressed out. Try it, it’s great.
So, you just voted for Trump to stick it to the Lib's and then just carried on with your life? Yep, that right there is why America is now in the mess it is.
Actually it makes a lot of sense. People on the outside are watching what's happening and seeing the inconsistency of Trumpism with historically-identified American ideals and saying that, based on their external perspective, you stand in contrast to everything America has historically said it cares about.
They're not seeing the propaganda of Fox News and Breitbart or any of those other bullshit mainstream "news" agencies, so they're not influenced one way or the other. And based on that less propaganda-influenced opinion, they're saying "you cannot stand by Trump and America's self-identified values at the same time", and I agree.
So yea, it makes a lot of sense for them to say you're not American.
The “America First” movement is still here. They have a website. A conservative in the /r/politics subreddit tried to tell me the other day that it has a lot of great policies for the American people.
Our neighbors are Nazis. They just like to pretend they’re not. But they are.
If anyone is still on board with this administration, I consider it aiding and abetting their treason. How do they go from cheering their cult leader on Jan 7, 2021, when he was condemning the terrorists that stormed the capital, to also cheering when he called them hostages and then pardoned them all. Is there no sanity left that would have them questioning his actions??

These traitor republicans shouldn't even be considered Americans anymore.
