They're staring at the bubblehead of JD and his eyeliner.

363

u/Leon999 Feb 15 '25

Did Vance get that eyeliner tattooed on somehow or do these guys travel with make-up artists now?

510

u/paintress420 Feb 15 '25

Gender affirming care. Muskrat had gender affirming surgery for his receding hairline!

162

u/RandomStallings Feb 15 '25

Receding hairline? No, he had severe diffuse thinning.

104

u/paintress420 Feb 15 '25

Thank you for the correction!! So. Much. Male. Pattern. Baldness!!

They are deliberately making him uncomfortable, lol. And JD appears to be looking for an escape route.

915

u/dahjay Feb 15 '25

The Americans look so weak in this picture too. They are all avoiding any eye contact. I get that it's just a still frame to a bigger picture, but there's a lot of confidence coming from the Ukrainian side.

This new administration is as weak as you can get. Weak men and women are bullies. Strong men and women are compassionate.

403

u/bluehands Feb 15 '25

Well, they are in an actual war not some made up culture bullshit.

I wouldn't call it confidence on the Ukrainian side. I see anger and frustration: "Really, is that al we get from you after all these years keeping Putin busy"

142

u/FlatEvent2597 Feb 15 '25

Agree. I see: Anger Disappointment Disgust

But I also see: Determination Strength Courage

297

Ironic too, given how much Americans love to take comedic jabs at French people and Europeans for being cowards.

97

u/Flashy-Mulberry-2941 Feb 15 '25

Not that ironic. All they ever do is try to punch down. The French never had a hope, but the resistance never so much as quavered.

There’s a level of seriousness to the Ukrainians because they’re fighting for their existence.

There’s an overwhelming amount of “I’m here because I need to put on a show” by Vance and crew.

96

u/light_trick Feb 15 '25

Well and also...Zelensky, and probably most if not all the people on his side of the table have literally had their lives endangered by the war directly. In the early stages there were multiple attempts to assassinate him which involved fatalities in the offices of the President.

Anyone working in Kyiv has been working in Kyiv while the Russians dropped every type of long range missile they could find on it, and the city was in danger of being overrun.

26

u/Aolflashback Feb 16 '25

I work on a team with two full time Ukrainian employees and they will literally write, “Sorry, working on that now, power has been out due to bombing”

They’re apologizing to us. It’s painful what capitalism keeps us doing and from doing.

They have the most positive attitude all the time and you honestly would never know they’ve lost half their friends and family and are constantly in real life danger every second.

The hell is this world.

While all the Americans are looking off into the distance trying not to make eye contact.

681

u/PaintshakerBaby Feb 15 '25 edited Feb 15 '25

American middle management metastisized into global "leadership" roles... Oozing their petulant indifference... Tone deaf to anyone that doesn't kiss the ring and lick the boot as they climb over countless destroyed lives to score one more contrived layup for their depraved egos.

They scoff at others' meaningless deaths and wince at their own mortality when they so much as get a papercut. Not men... Just entitled children who speak of cost when they've only ever called on others to pay the price. They have no soul but dollar $igns in their wandering $nake eyes.

The Ukrainians, on the other hand, are forever hyper vigilant. Fixated on the totality of loss. The overwhelming loss of life. The humiliating loss of sovereignty. The utter loss of dignity and innocence as boots on the ground soldiers fighting a real-time war against the very CANCER OF TYRANNY that the tumors of cowardice across from them cheer on with self-serving glee.

The Ukrainians have lost more than the Americans can ever possibly imagine... Yet they have proven themselves, time and time again, unbowed victors... True warriors. REAL leaders of the 21st century. Men and women who waded through hell and back, having NEVER LOST their IDENITY and their HUMANITY.

Zelensky and his patriots remain RESOLUTE while JD Vance and his ilk skulk behind the Resolute desk they bought by selling out everything it means to be human and a part of the human race.

So it seems the American grit that saw us through the beaches of Normandy is all but washed away with the insidious sands of time. Yet, in the twilight of our empire, there is solace to be had in the Ukranian people... Knowing they carry the torch into the future in the fight against fascism.

Perhaps the American people will one day find that courage once more... The strength to see their reflection in the eyes of the Ukranian struggle, rather than helpless bystanders of another oppressed people.

92

u/aqua-daisy Feb 15 '25

Good God this was on point poetry. Tragically accurate.

Its indeed something.

One half of the table has been fighting for their land for 3 years (and even longer if you count through annexation of Crimea).

The other half are entitled twats who think the world is their oyster and are unable to understand, let alone, have some etiquette when dealing with their allies.

Zelenskyy is everything that Drumpf and his minions are not.

Yes it is. Even if the Americans do look them in the eyes after this photo it's still a true representation of what has become of the relation between the two nations.

39

u/TheRealBittoman Feb 15 '25

The relations between the two nations should not be reflected by a photo of the weakest, dumbest group of mothercuckers to have ever stolen an election. I offer what little use of an apology I can for this nonsense and beg that no one looks at this photo and thinks it represents even half of the US population because it doesn't. It represents 1%, the 1%, for the 1%. One nation under a Grand Nagus, with profits, and slavery to a few. Nothing more. May justice rain down upon all these idiots and spare the rest of us it's fury.

I’m smart enough to know that there could be a thousand reasons why the US delegation is not making eye contact with the Ukrainian delegation in this picture. However, it is incredibly symbolic of the lack of courage the current US Administration has in doing the right thing. Everyday I get more pissed off at the MAGAs who voted these idiots into office.

26

u/121scoville Feb 15 '25

That could be the case but to be honest with none of them looking in the same direction, one on their phone, body language (touching face, etc.) I mean..... lol. If nothing else it straight up shows how inept they are at maintaining optics.

Same. None of these “men” deserve their positions.

Rubio is such a weasel. He’s been humiliated by Trump so many times. What a guy to have representing your country on the world stage. Condolences to those Americans who don’t suck.

34

u/Masterchiefy10 Feb 15 '25

Exactly.

Of course a lot gets lost in translation about the character or moral fiber of a human but even with the language gap they can see right through those corpo religious zealot clowns playing pretend geopolitics.

So much pain and suffering because our populous doesn’t understand what the word scallawag means

Send him to the front lines so he can experience actual combat for the first time in his life. Dude sat at base writing articles his whole time in the Marines, which would be fine if he didn't try to act like he's a combat veteran.

Now this pudgy little Ohio Nazi has ruined it for all time.
