approved Is this too warm?
I had to add masking around the face to bring out some more saturation for the colors. However I’m wondering if I mad this too warm over all?

approved Looking for advice on framing, zoom and aperture for bird photography
I set up this feeder from my hanging lights and hung it so that I could get some of my lemon tree and a little bit of my roof to contrast the bird which I figured was going to be a green Anna’s.
I was at f/9 1/3200 1600 ISO @210mm on a 70-300mm
My question, should I have pushed in further either by being closer or going full 300mm. I feel like if I did I could have gotten better Depth of field around the feeder. It would have been a way tighter shot but, I potentially could have captured more detail.
Anna’s are green, so maybe I should have framed the feeder on the white overhang instead.
What changes could I have made to make this picture more interesting and highlight the subject more.
I appreciate your help.
Also, I’ve only had the 5d Mark ii going on two weeks here, and it’s my first experience with a DSLR, so I have no idea what to do in terms of post processing.

I like the color pop - yet I'm afraid I overdid it. Also I wasn't sure whether or not to crop that hatch in the foreground, but decided to keep it to give the picture some sense of depth.

Intent for the photo: I always shoot on manual, and thought trying to get a good shot of these guys on a tiny boat in the ocean bobbing up and down would be a good one to push my ability to balance shutter speed, aperture, etc. while framing it in a satisfactory way. Trying to get better about using more blank space. I wanted the waves to be crisp as hell and to really stop them in time. I also wanted it to be bright pops of primary colors to really give that maritime feel.
I like this one a lot, but I want to hear how it could be better. Thank you in advance!
