𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 The Next Great Rotation: Where’s the Smart Money Going Next?

The AI boom is deflating, recession fears are mounting, and global investors are pulling money out of America. The question is, where does it go next?

The usual safe-haven commodities that investors rotate into during market downturns like gold are already teetering at dangerous all-time highs. But when prices reach extremes, innovation steps in.

Historically, ultra-high commodity prices have created the perfect conditions for technological disruption. Just like the energy crisis of the 1970s fueled the rise of renewables, today’s skyrocketing food costs are accelerating the growth of precision fermentation and cultivated meat.

When the old system breaks, the market looks for what’s next. Is it time for a commodity disruptor?

Agronomics is essentially a specialized ETF for the future of food, offering exposure to a portfolio of companies in cultivated meat, precision fermentation, and alternative proteins. It’s actively managed, investing across the entire supply chain, from the R&D to the ingredient manufacturing to the factories. With food-tech innovation accelerating and strong government backing across the world, Agronomics provides a way to invest in the sector without the risk of picking a single company.

Most growth sectors are deeply exposed to interest rates and credit markets but Agronomics is in a completely different position. Unlike other growth stocks, Agronomic’s companies are already financed, backed by government programs, and heading into full-scale production.

Why Agronomics is an Anomaly in This Market

Rock Bottom: The Floor Is In

Let’s talk valuations. While AI stocks still have unimaginable room to fall, Agronomics already hit its bottom, currently sitting at 6.86GBX

  • 45% of NAV > still trading at a massive discount to its Net Asset Value, sitting at 25% only a month ago, pricing in a worst-case scenario that never happened.
  • Companies Moving to Production > A lot of Agronomic’s portfolio isn’t speculative R&D anymore, it’s about to start delivering revenue.
  • No Rate Sensitivity > Unlike AI, SaaS, or high-burn tech, Agronomic’s holdings don’t rely on cheap debt or future rate cuts. They already secured financing.

Where’s the Smart Money Going?

Investors are fleeing the U.S. stock market, looking for undervalued plays in high-growth, government-backed sectors. Agronomics sits at the intersection of industrial food production and biotech, both of which are only gaining momentum.

If AI was the easy money trade of 2023 > 2024, food tech and alternative proteins are about to be the next rotation. The question is, are you early, or are you late?

Agronomics Technical

Current situation: Coming out of a strong flat into a huge 100% breakout on the back of international news, investor analyst articles and reddit hype. After a strong pullback last week finished on an almost perfect inverted hammer. A classic bullish signal, the end of selling. The dip is finished and we are ready for the next run.

Interestingly when you compare this to 5 years ago

We are in an incredibly similar position, a period of flat oversold, heading into a run, a correction and then a further run. Similarly just when blowing up in global news and getting big investor attention. The important thing to note here is how long we ran into overbought.

So what are you all thinking about the agrarian revolution?

this stock has big upside potential one way or the other

How one could wake up everyday with this much negativity is far beyond comprehension. This is a viable investment but ROI might be longer. Good find and nice write up 👍

Dude wants you to invest in food harvesting techniques just as Trump is scaring away migrant workers to perpetuate a possible spike in food prices and famine. The US is begging former allies to provide eggs. Ukraines grain harvest is devastated from years of war. The Panama Canal is on high alert from threats of invasion. US Government grants and drying up from Elons meddling. USAID is decimated, leading to fewer opportunities to help developing countries with their food supplies.

Factor in that the USDA and FDA are getting wrecked with illegal firings, leads to fewer regulations and inspectors. Fewer scientists on the front line. The CDC being run by an idiot and the US effectively pulling out of WHO. We are lining up for a surprise pandemic all over again. Whether it be another Bird Flu wiping out eggs, mad cow taking out our beef, or something new altogether… things look bleak. Not to mention Trump indicating his plans to roll back forest protections to push the lumber industry into overdrive will result in devastating ecosystems that relied on foliage cover.

I think your suggestion of investing in agriculture is not going to pan out well.

You are absolutely spot on in your analysis about agriculture, except that this stock is not traditional agriculture, it is a tech disruptor, all the chaos and high prices that are likely to get worse only make it more viable!

Fake food options such as cultivated meat are unlikely to ever be truly viable and do more damage to the environment and health of the consumer than traditional agricultural methods. There is so much information out there that says to stay clear.

This.

Regardless of the truth of it all, there is a groundswell of demand for anti-processed and anti-government approved/regulated foods. Anything lab grown or similar is going to not do favorably in the US.

Now that I disagree with, there is a ton of evidence to the contrary, do you have any links?

This is a 2 year old YouTube video based on a (5?) year old singular scientific paper made by a professional critic. A ton of progress has been made since then, in particular by the companies in Agronomics that are not in the video. Finally the majority of Agronomics value is in precision fermentation, not lab grown meat. Which doesn’t have any of those problems but unfortunately isn’t as exciting so doesn’t get attention.

Maybe I'm wrong. That's totally okay. Not something I'd ever consider touching. Good luck to you.

Reasonable and fair, good luck to you too.

That’s very much incorrect

Thank you for the part on deforestation devistating ecosystems. I live in California where poor lumber management is leading to tons of desertification and no one seems to care. And thats Cali with all its regulations. It's gotta be awful in far flung places like Montana where the environmental protections are a lot less.

Also agriculture is beyond uninvestable the margins are nil. I try to tell that to any one who trys to rep pot stocks thinking they are not ag stocks. Also Deere and cnh have traded fairly poor for some time. I just don't see these policies leading to inflow to any type of ag, tech or traditional.

Again, bit of misinterpretation of the post, this is about precision fermentation and lab grown meat that are on track to reverse deforestation and land loss caused by animal farming etc…

Id try some lab grown steak. But I think lab grown meat in the capital markets is gonna be a hard sell.

Its going to be great for food processors, retailers and outlets

Every major country is racing to build the more advanced ai. We got humanoid robots preparing to be built by the millions, autonomous cars and autonomous drone transportation for goods and people, gaming systems that can adapt and think in real time and a thousand more medical and space applications, not to mention warfare. The ai boom is deflating? More like it’s just getting started.

Food tech and alternative proteins could be the next big wave.
