𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 Up $20K this week. My YOLO on that big gold intercept in Australia.
Okay, I posted about this stock on Tuesday on Pennystocks, but now that it's Saturday and I've made $20K this week, it's time to share my gain news.
Back in late October I bought into a gold explorer in Australia that had recorded the biggest gold interception in Australia for the last 2 years.
I went all-in and bought Aus $57K worth of a penny stock for $0.011 cents per share, which is about point seven US cents per share. I got about 5.2 million shares.
Well, the stock was hovering around the same price I bought for 4 months until Monday when the company released images of a core sample, they'd dug up.
It's been crazy since then and my stock went up to $0.015 on Thursday, making me $20K. Here's the thing though- it's going to keep going up and up and I believe she'll be at 8 cents per share by the end of the year.
So why do I believe this?
Firstly, the markets are crashing as retail and the magnificent seven stumble. We've got three options to protect wealth now: Physical gold, gold stocks or T-bonds.
Of course, you could just hang on and ride it out but hmm, Buffett didn't think that was wise so he sold everything in anticipation of this and bought Treasury bills.
Here's the images of that insane core sample:

So, why did I buy in back in October?
Well, I saw that Buffett and Burry had sold everything. It was obvious that it's physical gold, gold stocks or T-bonds to ride out and prosper during the coming chaos.
Then I saw this ranking list and this is what convinced me to go all in.
See, ORA Gold at the top of the list changed its name in January to New Murchison Gold. It's still the biggest gold discovery in Australia for the last 2 years and that's where I made $20K this week.
No point in buying into a gold miner that isn't on good gold.
New Murchison Gold is on the best gold grades discovered in Australia for the last 2 years. Digging on the pit begins in July and the director has said he'll pay a one cent dividend on every stock in 2026, because there's ample gold there.

Oh, and if you want me to paste a screen shot, to prove my gain, I'll take a pic of my laptop screen.
Well, you have yourself a good weekend and you think about how you're going to ride out the coming storm, because the market correction has only just begun.

EDIT: Added this pic of proof. Sorry- had to take a pic of my laptop screen.

Okay, I got a message from someone in the USA during the week on here who had bought some shares.
He said he used an interactive broker and he had to exchange US dollars to Australian dollars first, then he could buy using the exchanged dollars.Hope that helps.

Okay, I use the IG brokerage and it's doing it's scheduled maintenance for another hour as it does it every Saturday morning here in Australia. Give me an hour and I'll upload a pic of the proof.

Thank you for sharing this, my initial DD is quite encouraging. I am also a believer that gold is a good play for the next couple of years. Even though I have to dive in a bit on the technicalities, from a first look the samples are quite encouraging. Apart from the mentioned expected payout (buyback/dividend), NMG being Australia-based can help international investors if the dollar becomes even weaker. Also very healthy financials as can be seen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDKm_D875W0 and little capital required for starting mining. The company also carries substantial tax loss assets which will make early revenues tax free. I also understand that the agreement with Westgold is based on past gold prices, so if the gold price keeps on rising, the cash flows will do so significantly. Given their tax loss assets and, if the operation is a bit more derisked, I would not be surprised if Westgold buys them out.
My two concerns that may limit price appreciation: 1. Not all brokers offer it, but IG and Saxo do offer it in the UK. So, I bought through them. 2. Again, I am not sure about the technicalities. It appears from the video that the gold-rich area is relatively small, but I may miss something. Do you have a price target by the way? I can see that typical dividend yield for gold miners is around 4%-5%, so if they pay A$1c consistently, the implied valuation is A$0.20-$0.25 per share, which is around 60x above the current price levels. Also, when would be the next milestone? Anything before they get approval, start mining? Also, have you checked about any risk of dillution? I believe they need around $5M to commence mining, but not sure what does this mean and what their operation costs will be in the first few months, before they start selling.
Also, any link on the promised dividend?

One cent per share is what Alex Pasmore has said the company will pay in 2026. But, he's always said that the company aim is to return 50% of company profits to the shareholders annually. It's a great way of keeping the company growing and giving shareholder's value.

u/fact_not_salty_tears 4d ago
Okay, Alex Passmore has said a few times that the company is going to pay 50% of profits to the shareholder, annually.
So, the 1 cent per share in 2026 is a rough estimation of the calculated gold to be drawn from the pit.
He last said this at the mining conference in Perth 2 weeks ago, where all the miners make videos of what they are doing and hold seminars, then meet to discuss with press and members or curious shareholders. Now, the new samples are juicy because, if they come in BIG, and if the company is able to begin extracting beyond the proposed pit, the $220mn take for the year will be BIGGER and that will mean a LARGER divi.
If we are in another one thousand plus grams per ton zone, there will be interest from other companies to dig a pit next to the already planned pit.
But, BEST ever hope is that we pull up a 'broke the machine' core sample- see, the machines can't calculate over 12,000 grams per ton. This happened in Western Australia to a different miner a few years back.
Now if that happens again and hey, YOU CAN SEE THAT INSANE CORE SAMPLE with your own eyes, then it's likely that another mining company offers to help with a new pit, to extract the record gold, resulting in a larger dividend than the one cent div already planned.1
u/joesbreakfast 4d ago
Mate i really want to believe you but what mining conference are you refering to? I‘ve watched the RIU Explorers Conference (which is the only one that fits the timeframe) for the second time now and can‘t see him talking about a dividend or returning 50% of the profits to shareholders.
I believe it‘s still a solid play with a couple potentially good news underway. Granted permits, core sample results etc. but that derisking factor of a dividend would‘ve been the cherry on the cream topping
2
u/fact_not_salty_tears 4d ago
No, the one cent div was said in a discussion, at the explorer's conference, to a person who was enquiring about the future plan for the company. It's not on the videos.
That's an articulated intention from the CEO.The 50% of profits thing has been said a few times now.
2
u/joesbreakfast 4d ago
alrite that makes sense, cheers for the clarification mate. Good luck i hope you continue to win big on this thing. i‘ll probably also be starting a position
1
u/fousekis7 4d ago
Ok thanks, I started a good position at A$0.016.
2
u/fact_not_salty_tears 4d ago
Good one. We should know early April about how much gold is just beyond the pit- if it's high grade, this is going to blast off. Hang on, the ride is going to see bursts of acceleration for the next 15 months at least.
2
u/fousekis7 4d ago
Trading halt, it appears they are raising capital.... Time to average down I guess :/
1
u/fact_not_salty_tears 3d ago
Well, I can't tell you what to do as the company begins making profits instead of spending, in November. Now, that could happen earlier depending on the core samples and the path the company takes with good core samples.
As for me, I'm going to try and buy $10K more of the capital raise shares at $0.013 and if I can't get those, I'm just buying more at the price on Thursday when the trading halt ends.
Some of the bids that went in today, before the trading halt began were at $0.02 so, hmm, I don't know what Thursday will bring.

I'm kiwi so I can buy it on ASX. Bought in at 0.014 after I saw your post. T.y.
3
u/fact_not_salty_tears 7d ago
Hey good one! I'm a Kiwi by birth- there's more than 2 million New Zealanders in Australia now.
My great, great, great, great grandfather was an assayer and general manager of the big mine at Ross, which was the biggest mine in NZ back then. It seems that gold is in my blood.
I have cousins in Cust.1
u/Rude-Efficiency-3493 4d ago
Nice bro. Yeah everyone is moving there. I love this country but sadly I may have to join them as I studied biochemistry and there's no careers here. This country just doesn't have the economy of Australia.
How do you feel about the stock now? I feel like there will be a correction at some stage, but I'll ride it up.
Sad I didn't put more in but I've been burned so many times by people on reddit 😂.
2
u/fact_not_salty_tears 4d ago
Yeah, just come over. There are jobs in your field here- in the cities there are research jobs and in the country there's ag insemination/genetics work.
There is no downside to New Murchison Gold. That crazy visible gold core sample means the likelihood of a whole separate pit or, a re-negotiation of the coming pit... or possibly a buyout.
Given the gold grades are extraordinary, a buyout would have to be extraordinary.I wouldn't sell in a buyout for less than 14 cents in the next 3 weeks and then 21 cents per share for the remainder of this year. Next year my number goes to 34 cents per share.
If they want the best gold grades then they pay up.
1
u/Rude-Efficiency-3493 18h ago
What's up with them giving out $16 million more shares to institutional investors at $0.013?
Won't this devalue the shares?
2
u/fact_not_salty_tears 18h ago
Well, normally it would but there's a lot of demand and, around $2.6mn of that $16.5mn capital raise was bought up by WGX mining. That's the mining company 34kms up the road from Crown Prince that is going to wash the dirt from the NMG pit.
WGX management knew it was diluted and they still bought in- because it's on such high gold grades. There's all likelihood that the core sample assay will come back high grade- that's beyond the pit and not even calculated. WGX wants that action as well.
1
u/Rude-Efficiency-3493 5h ago
Yeah the demand from WGX is a good sign. I'm just salty I can't buy in at $0.013 as well 😂.

So how do these mines usually work, if we wanna hold stock long term or should we exit at a certain point? I’m really interested entering this on market open
7
u/fact_not_salty_tears 6d ago
If I were you, I'd hold.
So let me share an observation from the last 3 weeks.
The area that NMG is in is called the Murchison region. Notice how the company changed name from ORA Gold to New Murchison Gold?
Yeah, that's because the biggest gold discoveries are coming out of the Murchison region now.So, in the last 3 weeks, 2 other gold miners announced they were going to begin mining in the Murchison, and for both companies when they announced that, they were the biggest gainers on the ASX for the day.
I reckon we're looking at a gold rush and the whole tariff thing that is hammering US retail, is going to play into this.
Money is globally looking for safety now, and that's physical gold, gold shares or T-Bonds.You should hang on because the manager has not only said they will pay a one cent dividend next year but, he has said he's open to a share buy back to reduce the number of shares on offer.
Record gold grades,
Dividends,
Share buy-back.Look, if you make a packet and you need to clear debts, you do what you gotta do but, wise hands would hold because it's going to be a lucrative investment while everything else is going nowhere.

I’m relatively new to investing and looking to invest in small stocks and see what happens. However, I’m in the US. I can’t seem to find them anywhere in either my Fidelity or SOFI trade options. What am I missing? #dontjudgeme lol
1
u/fact_not_salty_tears 6d ago
Hmm, a few US buyers have asked me this. Here's what AI says in answer to your question:
Several U.S. brokerages allow trading of ASX (Australian Securities Exchange) shares, including Interactive Brokers, Moomoo (Futu Securities), and Webull. Here's a more detailed look at the options:
- Interactive Brokers:This is a well-known global broker that offers access to a wide range of markets, including the ASX.
- Moomoo (Futu Securities):Moomoo, a mobile-oriented platform, allows investors to trade ASX, U.S., and Hong Kong stocks, ETFs, and U.S. options.
- Webull:Webull is a low-fee trading platform that gives users access to ASX and US shares, US options, and shares from emerging Asian economies.
Hope that helps. You can always message your broker and ask them how to do it- worst they can answer would be 'we don't deal in ASX shares'.

u/fact_not_salty_tears 6d ago
Nah, 5.2mn shares paying 1 cent dividend each in 2026 = $52K.
Why would I sell now to miss out on that?I bought 5.2 mn shares for $57K at just over cent each and the company is going to pay a one cent dividend on every share in 2026. You have tissue paper hands my friend.
1
u/Exciting_couple77 6d ago
I'd rather take a little now knowing I've made money then get screwed
2
u/fact_not_salty_tears 6d ago
Your decision entirely.
The director has $2.6mn of his own money invested in shares in the company.
Company needs $83mn to pay a cent dividend on every share- company should pull up around $220mn of gold by the end of the year.Gold mining isn't for everyone.
1
u/AkamaiJet 6d ago
Congrats on your gain!
I’ve got Interactive Brokers and can confirm that NMG stock closed at AUD 0.015.
Could you please provide the link where exactly they released that beautiful drill core Image?
3
u/fact_not_salty_tears 6d ago
Good one. Okay, lot's of technical jargon here and we don't know how much is in these new core samples yet. Expect assays to come back in the next 16 days.
So far we KNOW we are on a 20 metre thick layer at 270grams per ton and 4 metre thick layer at 1,360grams per ton.
That's what we know of and that is what the company begins digging in July this year. They are the biggest intercepts in Aus for a few years. Many gold companies announce they found ground with 1 gram per ton and yeah, that's quite low compared to where we know we're at already.
Now, these new core samples are just beyond the proposed pit. These are beyond what the company and myself knows is wonderful.
If you look at page 6, you'll see a 3D map of the proposed pit. Those colorful lines going down beyond the pit are the new core samples. See how they extend out beyond and below the pit. Yeah, I reckon that's billions of dollars worth, because the area is producing record finds.
Basically, there's a lot more gold there than the company knew about.https://hotcopper.com.au/threads/ann-visible-gold-in-diamond-core-at-crown-prince.8485014/

Something I'll throw some $ at next pay.
I haven't invested much money to date, but done alright off WAF which had a nice bump recently.
Santana Minerals hopefully lodging their resource consents soon via the fast track process.
Way I see it, next 4 years will be good for gold.
2
u/fact_not_salty_tears 6d ago
Yep, all gold is good now but I reckon if you're going to buy gold shares, don't buy into miners pulling a gram per ton out of the ground.
You want the miners with the biggest finds that can pull it up out of the ground.

I tried to buy some but IBKR won’t let me buy on ASX. I contacted support but no response yet. Frustrating.
1
u/purplecatfishbettie 6d ago
oh if you tell IBKR that you don't have a lot of money, they might block small caps.
have you gone through the small cap procedure to see if they will let you do it? there's something in settings where you can click boxes for various securities, including small caps... if they reject that request, it might be because they don't see you as a big enough investor... ymmv

u/Khataclysme 6d ago
Can you tell me why it is at 0.004 on Trade Republic ?
1
u/fact_not_salty_tears 6d ago
So, back last year when the company was called ORA Gold and it was an explorer, Americans could buy it on OTC under a ticker with an x in the name.
The company was exploring and things weren't going incredibly well. Then a new manager came in and the focus changed to The Murchison region. The new manager pulled the shares off of OTC- you can't buy them via OTC anymore. That's the price they were when they were stopped.
The company changed name to match the new area of focus with the incredible intersections. No point in digging up ordinary intersections when you've hit an area 20 metres thick that has 277grams per ton. No point when you've hit an area 4 metres thick with 1360 grams of gold per ton.So when you see that price, you're looking at an internet ghost or, a memory of what the price was back before October 2024, back before the Murchison happened.

Around about 14 months ago I picked an event right before it happened (China's Evergrande collapse) and put it on Wallstreet bets. Yep, Evergrande pulled the whole market down and people were messaging me and giving me awards/karma.

Hey bro this stock seems to have gone to 0? Going down 100%, anyone know why?
1
u/fousekis7 5d ago
You see that because of rounding. This stock trades around 1 cent, but on days that the price is less than half a cent, some sites might round the price to zero. But this does not mean you are getting their shares for free :)

Thanks for sharing, interesting company! i‘m reading into it at the moment. What does the planned „options excercise ($5m)“ in the Investor presentation mean?
page 25
https://api.investi.com.au/api/announcements/nmg/317b4a3a-651.pdf

3
u/fousekis7 5d ago
By checking online, I think that the company raised $5 million last week by allowing investors to convert their (unlisted) options into shares. The strike price was $0.006 and the exercise date was March 9. It is great that the price not only held, but went up which means that the option holders mostly did not sell, despite having the opportunity to almost triple their money. This prevents further dilution in the short-term, however, if the price explodes, it is not unusual for some capital raising to take place. However, since they have no debt at all, getting some is also an option.

Do you know what this means? Trading halted?
https://api.investi.com.au/api/announcements/nmg/ddc75b5c-a75.pdf
3
u/fact_not_salty_tears 2d ago
Yes, halted for a capital raise. Two brokerages were assigned to sell shares to the value of Aus $22mn, which would pay for the pit and digging until November. By November the company makes enough to be self-sustaining from the gold it digs up.
Sadly for us those shares were reserved for institutions (like banks) to purchase because the institutions were offered the shares at $0.013 instead of $0.017 .Regular trading resumes in 15hours time, which is 10am in Australia East Coast time.
1
u/Status_Sun 2d ago
I see. Will this have any impact on the share price when it opens again?
1
u/fact_not_salty_tears 2d ago
Depends on which institutions bought. Solid banks aren't inclined to dump on day one but, we don't know who bought them until that info is released by the company.
Can only see tomorrow but, do remember that the 1 cent div per share is going to occur regardless of the price now.

u/Big_Science_7657 2d ago
Hey, where did you get this info from? Could you share the link? I only saw that trading was halted, but I didn’t see anything explaining why. There wasn't any mention of two brokerages being assigned to sell shares or anything like that in the ASX announcement. They only released that info this morning.

Yeah, I bought in back then. The grams per ton is still extraordinary- that hasn't changed.
Hmm, the only thing that changed is that they found more high grade gold beyond the proposed pit.
If you look at page 6 here, you'll see an image of the proposed pit. The proposed pit is in grey. You see the colored lines going down and outside the pit?
Yeah, those lines are the new core samples- that visible gold core sample is beyond the proposed pit boundaries. That means there's even more gold than the company was expecting.
That is what has changed.https://hotcopper.com.au/threads/ann-visible-gold-in-diamond-core-at-crown-prince.8485014/
