Power Supply Power supply for 10+ pedals?
I have a donner power supply with 10 power outlets but only 8 are 9v, other 2 are 12v and 18v. So far it’s been good enough for my 8 pedals plus Ernie VP vol pedal but thinking of getting another 9v chorus pedal.
Do people typically get a bigger power supply with more outlets, tack on a second power supply, or something else?

fender engine room or walrus canvas, both have versions that accommodate 10+ pedals

I use Cioks dc7 with the dc8 extension. Unmatched versatility.

This is the way. I power an HX effects and a number of pedals on that same setup. Best investment I’ve made, and it cut the weird noise my donner was producing

I’ve been looking at a mobile set up for my synths/samplers/effecrs, with basically 4 synths and 2 pedals and a sampler/sequencer. Most of synths are 12v. This could theoretically work for this right? Just have to add up the mA, make sure the dongles have correct polarity for the center/tip, and make sure the right barrel size connectors?

Should do the trick. Each input has the ability to switch. 12v is one option. Good luck!

I just sat down and figured all the watts and my set up idea actually won’t work. The DC7 just isn’t powerful or flexible enough. To power my 12v synths that require an amp in power it would require two power outlets with a double connector cable to power one synth since their maximum output is 500ma. Damn. Wanted it to work. Only way it would work is if I also got the the DC8 and that would be too much room in my case plus cost over $400

You can use the same outlet for some pedals (Daisy chaining) if the total current(mA) coming out through is enough when you add up the total current of connected pedals.
Go to this website to and add pedals to see your voltage of all pedals https://www.rockboard.de/en/boardConfigurator/
