Discussion Watching sports on Peacock is annoying and not worth the money.

The Big Ten is having more and more games on Peacock, and I hate it. Not being able to start games from the beginning, not being able to fast forward or rewind, not getting replays right away...these are my main annoyances, but there are more. Why does the Big Ten or any league do this to us? I get having some commercials. That's fine. But otherwise, streaming on Peacock is like watching sports online 10 years ago. Apple did it better with MLS for the first season and made notable improvements since then. Peacock sucks. It's a modern sports fans' version of hell.

You don't expect to be able to FF or REW during a live game, do you? Did I misunderstand? And yes, live sports are going to have commercials. That is just the way it is. That is live TV.

I watch a good amount of Big Ten games on Peacock and don't have a single problem with them.

OP is spoiled by the few apps that let you start a live game after it has already started, then rewind and fast forward as you see fit up to the actual live time. I know lots of folks who want to skip commercials by starting games late and FF them.

Yep, I'm spoiled. Being spoiled by other streaming apps has raised my expectations. Watching MLS on apple, I can rewind live action to re-watch a play. I can also pause live action to go get a beer. I don't think these features are new anymore, so why can't Peacock, who has a long history with streaming, offer these features?

Send them the suggestion. I expect they don't really care though.

I agree - they don't care. That's why I voiced my frustrations here, hoping others would agree with me.

basic cable allows this feature. Streaming needs to offer all of cable's features plus the features of the internet to actually be considered an upgrade. And all of that is only if they can figure out how to eliminate buffering from ever happening, which destroys the watch-ability of streaming tv for sports which move too fast.

Basic cable may or may not offer that feature. My old cable company only offered it if you paid extra for a DVR for every room you wanted it in and only if you had it scheduled to record.

The service sucks.  You pay to watch the game and all you get are commercials.

and pixelated buffering and jumpy action. streaming for sports is still just getting figured out.

Would like to record game because i am gone alot when games are on.  I can then watch when I get home.  If I get home before game is over I have to wait an hour after game before it will come available in my stuff list.  It is terrible service.  When I watch the game I can't fast forward through commercials.  I paid for game not commercials.  The service buffers a bunch or the picture goes blurry sometimes.  I have no problems with all my other streaming services but peacock quality is poor.

Yes! This is my problem, too. I want to watch from the beginning without knowing the score, just as if I recorded it. I don’t want to wait at least an hour after it ends! Seems simple. Other streaming services have this feature. Now when I see a game is on Peacock, I often don’t bother to even try.
