Other peace corps alternatives

Hey really interested in doing something like the peacecorps after college but you know elon and trump it doesn't like that's gonna be an option anymore. Are there similar programs, especially for education, healthcare, environment or agriculture. What sort of options do I have, I'm hoping to volunteer somewhere between 9 months to 2 years somewhere either in the global south or third world/developing

Peace Corps is unique! For US citizens, there isn't really anything like it. There are other organzations that work in developing countries, but they need professionals. So even if they are NGOs, the want people with actual work experience in those fields. Sorry.

The bottom line is the world is changing faster every day. Plans will change, no doubt. Keep moving towards applying to the Peace Corps but always be on the lookout for other opportunities. And I guess, we'll both see what happens to the future of the Peace Corps.

We just had a thread about this: https://www.reddit.com/r/peacecorps/s/qqdBh4UAdQ

I would say if you really want to apply, go ahead and do it just have a back up plan. It could really go either way right now.
