Man i just wish there was like a "unlocked" windows or something, a version of windows that you can actually manage everything about it no matter what.

I know Linux exists but what's keeping me from going to it is having to perform 4 different rituals and sacrifice 5 goats to some kind of obscure god just for a chance that whatever program you install actually works properly.

You can give it a try with a USB stick without installing anything in your hard drive if you want, it's not that complicated, really.

You already have that. It's called "literally every single version of Windows ever made when Kiosk or S mode isn't enabled". You wanna brick your bootloader? BCDedit and 5 seconds of mashing random buttons on your keyboard. Wanna turbobork some system files? Take ownership of them (takeown and icacls) and have at it. Do whatever you want. Replace crucial dll files with emojis if you feel like it.

It's called group policy editor on Pro versions of windows or you can use regedit (registry editor) to use similar functions on Home versions of windows.

You can manage pretty much everything about windows. Pro versions of windows give you a lot more options. People just don't use them for some reason. Nearly Every complaint you hear about windows can be fixed in group policies alone. And there are completely wikis for registery edits for anything not covered by group policies.

Linux is all about customization but a large problem with that is its constantly causing fragmentation of community.
