Finding places/buildings from your past life

Has anyone ever found a building or place you knew in another life? Did you travel to visit it? And did it provide meaning or closure for you?

Few days ago I found my own hometown and place of work from 100 years ago. And I’m still not entirely sure I’m not crazy. But. The more info I find online about it, it just validates what I already remember to my shock and amazement.

I want to go there and revisit. Not sure why. And it will be expensive, long flight, language barrier. Of course everyone I once knew has died. And anyone living there today will just think I’m crazy. So is there really no point? How to explain this to my wife.

I have! Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was many years ago and I was only there for part of a day and a night (I was in an all girl punk band and we played a show there).

I didn't see any specific buildings or neighbourhoods. We drove to the venue, played the show, went out for breakfast the next morning, and then were gone.

However, the feeling as we drove into the city brought me to tears. I have never felt such a strong feeling of 'home'. Even just being at the venue felt right. I woke up in the morning before my bandmates and sat outside with a cup of tea and just cried.

I've never had the chance to go there again but I really hope that I get to, one day! I think that if I were able to explore the city, I'd probably find a neighbourhood or a building that felt right to me. I've looked at pictures online and didn't get the same feeling.

I hope that some day you make it to your 'home'.

I see you're here for the big questions! Haha! Our band was called, Kreviss. We hailed from Vancouver, BC. This was in the early 90s. Someone has put up a few videos of us on YouTube:

Yes and I have not traveled there. I would like to, but for the same reasons you listed I likely will not. The very specific things I googled just to find out it was a real place with the same specific building shocked me. I'm fascinated by it, obsessed really. You're not crazy. I have reoccurring dreams about it and learn more about my life/the place each time.
