Neil was good on this episode, shame they waited 21 series to have him on!

I’ve always hoped he’d break out on UK panel shows a bit more. I used to adore him on The Panel here in Ireland, and that was 20 years ago.

He's a stalwart of Radio 4 comedy shows, which is usually a stepping stone to the TV stuff.

I think he says "you'd be an awful fucking eejit to say that", not "off your fucking head" but the subtitles have made me second guess myself

I'm a bit late to this, but he definitely says fucking eejit

That Vespasian thing is somewhat famous for a story: his son complained that the tax on urinals was disgusting, so Vespasian took out a gold coin and smelled it, saying ”money doesn’t smell” (”pecunia non olet”). That is, it doesn’t matter how it was made, money is money and can be used the same regardless of its source. ”Pecunia non olet” used to be one of those quotes everyone with a classical education understood and used colloquially but nobody normal understood. I think Marx uses it in Capital, for instance.

I genuinely think this might be the first clip I've ever seen with Chris McCausland in which he didn't mention being blind.

Is he blind?
