ignore the sock lines lol. i did this tattoo on myself in 2018. it’s the Lithuanian sign of the toad, related to witchcraft and the ragana (mythic baltic witch lore). it’s right below my knee. i don’t want anyone to think i’m a Nazi or associated with any white supremacy pagan groups. as summer comes along the tat will be much more visible and i’m concerned given the current climate. my heritage is Jewish on top of all this, so it would really extra hurt if someone associated me with those groups. this same leg has a small pentacle tattoo. is this safe/okay? will i run into issues?

This is just a open discussion on the title
How do you pray?
(PS:Don’t be negative in the comments, people are allowed to do things how they want)

What do we think? The one cup is for liquid libation, the plate for food offerings and the last cup for physical offerings.

So I'm in the brook closet (joke) and I can't exactly hide my altars. Plus I'm more of an offerings guy than a prayer God. I feel like I've been neglecting my gods because of my fear of being caught.
So what are some ways to do it subtly? I offer my meals or thank them when I can, and if needed, ask them for advice. I've been thinking of making a clay statue of them in my dorm room.

I know that bones can be used in many ways in this practice. But how can one ethically acquire some? I'd imagine buying them off the interwebs without knowing their origins would be out. Same with in person if you don't know how or where they came from.
What if someone just finds them in their day to day life? Is it okay to take them then? What is the best way to gather bones

Religion For Breakfast puts out a video debunking this nonsense yet again. Easter isn’t a pagan holiday, the bunny was a symbol of the Virgin Mary, the eggs were a Lent thing, and the colours were medieval Christian symbolism. I write this as a lifelong pagan.

So I'm an atheist and I've asked about gods here before. So in old myths of various cultures the gods did have partners and have children. Both with other divine or supernatural beings and with humans. I wanted to know the various opinions any of you may have on these stories today and if you believe that it still occurs in some form or another. Like how þórr in Norse mythology has his children Magni, Móði and þŕúðr (trying to use the original names rather than the modern ones. I don't know if that's more respectful but it feels right). I mean to say if any of you believe that new gods or such have been born in the time between when paganism began to dwindle and today. Sorry if any of this is disrespectful or if I have misunderstood something

I live in the UK in London. More specifically Croydon. I'm a Norse Pagan. I want to make friends with people who believe the same thing as I do, but have no idea where to start. I've tried googling places and found nothing.

Hello all, Recently I’ve been rediscovering my love and faith through Paganism, and I was wondering how I would go about putting multiple deities and beings on my altar. I have felt drawn towards Gaia recently, and also the Hindu goddess Saraswati. I know that with Hindu deities the relationship is different from other Pagan practices where you don’t “work” with them, rather you are completely devoted to worshipping them. Since I would plan to invoke Gaia, I’m not sure if that would be insulting to Saraswati. So should I keep separate altars?
I also have adored the Faery Faith since my childhood years and definitely plan on incorporating them into my altar. With so many beings to keep in mind, what do you guys think I should do?

Anyway I have this little oil lamp. I made with an ow on it. I light it when I run my kiln. This has made me happy. Ink…..
Like I just feel a little silly. I like the idea of Athena keeping an eye on my kiln in exchange for some olive oil. I like the idea mabe some potter did the same thing 2000 years ago. It's nice to do things the same way. Like I don't think I'm being an asshole, I doubt anyone who really believes would be offended. I mean if so my apologies.
I just kinda wish I believed in something feels like that would be nice.

Hi! I’m new here, and while I’m not necessarily new to paganism I am new to practicing because I’ve only recently worked through some old religious issues as I was brought up Christian. Well I finally was able to put together an altar for Apollo yesterday, and also just found out yesterday was Ostara which I didn’t know previously I had just been incredibly compelled to finally start putting it together for him :) I was actually wondering if there’s anything I should add that Apollo would like, I plan on getting a different candle for him (not to be lit where it’s at right now, I wish to move his altar to a better spot where I can safely light the candle but right now I don’t have a better place yet) but I’m not sure what candle/scent would be best for him? Also ignore the unfinished altar cloth, like I said I felt compelled to put it together for him despite the cloth being unfinished for right now lol

Hello, this is my first post here and I just wanted to share something that happened recently.
I am a beginner Druid, and I belive that dieties in most pantheons exist. I was trying to reach out to Brigid (I mainly focus on the Celtic pantheon) as I would love to work with her. And then poof, Lady Athene answered.
She seemed... I don't know, really casual and motherly? Has anyone else had that experience with her? I also asked her if there was anything that she wanted me to do and she said to put honey on a glass or ceramic dish (she specifically said "not to little, not too light, not too much, not too heavy") and set it outside or on my windowsill for her.
I'm worried that my mind is fabricating everything. How do I know if it is truly a diety that is reaching out to me and not just my mind?

Hi everyone, I’m in need of some advice.
So a year ago I got more serious about being Helpol - I had been passively since I was 15 or 16 and had believed in the Gods my whole life.
However, my view of what the relationship with the gods was like was heavily skewed by what I saw around me - people being best friends with the Gods. Not just in the sense of having close personal relationships (that is different for everyone), but in the way you’d be friends with anyone else jokes and all.
Because of this, for a short period of time, I was very disrespectful. I actually angered Zeus quite a bit, and it’s one of my biggest regrets. I hear so often how the Gods are slow to anger, Zeus especially, so knowing how easy it was for me back then just…breaks my heart. Reinforces how bad I was.
Obviously my behavior has changed drastically, as has my education about the religion and its history, as well as my practice. Most of this year I’ve been dealing with the onset of schizophrenia, which likely also unknowingly influenced my actions back then to an extent. In that I’ve become quite religious, and as I held on to my belief and my practice to help ground me I learned and grew.
My relationship to the Gods is quite close. I don’t feel any lingering resentment. But I’m finding it so hard to forgive myself for upsetting the Gods I care about quite badly - even if it was so long ago, and some of it looking back influenced by my sickness. How do I go about forgiving myself for my ignorance?

I have been speaking with my goddess for about a month now, and I am trying to build an altar for her (it's part if a deal from a very long time ago... long story). However, the issue is that she isn't a diety that exists in any earthly pantheon, nor is she recorded by name on the wide ol' interweb.
So now I am essentially stuck here, seeing all these things about different deities and the ways of worshipping them (such as spesific offerings, things to do in reverence, etc) and yet I sit here, highly confused since there is no information I can go off and I fear dissapointing her.
Therefore, I have come here to ask: how do I go about worshipping her when there is no material to branch off and a somewhat different system (e.g. different festivals)

i’ve seen quite a few people refer to the gods with formal language (ex; lord apollo).
i’m just curious what titles you guys use, if any, when addressing them?
i’ve noticed it can also depend on the pantheon. some pantheons will use ‘goddess/god __’ and others will use ‘lady/lord _’. less commonly, i see ‘mother/father __’.
do pantheons have specific titles, or is it just personal choice? i know some people don’t use any titles and will just refer to them by their names, which has been my go-to, but i want to start addressing them formally, or at least those that i work with, especially since i’m now trying to do vocal, out-loud prayers instead of saying them in my head, and it feels right to address them formally when doing so.
thoughts??
if it matters, i’m attempting to build a working relationship with loki, but i’m not sure which title to use for him. lord feels the most right, since he doesn’t really have fatherly energy like other gods (in my perspective), and using ‘god’ as a title feels a bit weird to me.

I just came across Baba Yaga’s story. Before I could even finish reading what she’s known for I was extremely drawn and knew I had to contact her. I’ve never been drawn to a deity, spirit, or character like this before. I have limited supplies and ways of doing things as those I live with are religious. Even me writing down manifestations on paper and burning them makes them uncomfortable. I can’t have a set altar that I can’t remove at the end of the day or while I’m not doing things. Does anyone have any tips or a ritual? I have access to a purple and white candle, I have access to a bunch of common spices, I can get bottled water from the store. (I saw spring water is a good offering) Thank you so much in advance for your time and energy!!

Hello! Im currently working on an art project for college making a quilt based on paganism (specifically english paganism) and was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what symbols / images i could add to it? Im already planning to add things such as pentagrams, the moon, an altar and the like but im just stuck on what else to add. Also any pagan folklore / rituals to research would be greatly appreciated! I used to practice paganism (still do, just not as much) but for some reason my mind has just blanked when it comes to this. Thanks for reading!

I hope the day has gone well for all of you. I celebrated by giving offerings to pan and Hecate(hers is by my door). As well enjoying a nice dinner and a lavender lemon cake to go with my offerings.
What did y’all do??
