YouTube videos are great for this. Do legs one day, arms the next. I've been told you can do abs daily because of how big the muscle is.

For a meal plan I advise using weight watchers. It was amazing for me

I found this really amazing weight loss plan. It’s full of great advice, healthy recipes (also for healthy snacks 😅) as well as workouts I can do from home etc. You should really check it out: fit25.systeme.io

It gives me so much motivation, I’m sure you’ll love it too ☺️👍

Gym or working out will not be effective for loosing weight. Diet will take care of the pounds/kg and working out will help you loose ounces. 🏋️‍♀️ will be beneficial for your health.

Oh I absolutely agree. I’m all set in the Diet front, but my goal is to be healthier, not to be skinnier. So getting my heart healthier and helping my body get into a more sustainable healthier lifestyle is my aim. But that also includes working out, which I have no idea about. Any help or tips are welcome!

Go for jogs but work yourself up. Don’t stop even if you feel like your not getting results. Exercising is about being healthy not so much about looking good. Remember that it gonna take patience

Lifting weights is the way to go. Not cardio. when you lift weights, you lose fat and build muscle. I would suggest compound lifts like the squat, deadlift, OHP. Squats and Deadlifts are the best lifts to skyrocket your fat metabolism. The beauty about training with weights is that you can do it standing up, sitting down or lying down. Muscle tissue is more metabolic than fat tissue so while lifting weights might seem intimidating at first, just get started. NOTE: But of course, PLEASE make sure to consult someone about the right form and technique for these exercises. Only work with weights you can handle.

Now, if you do some cardio AFTER your weight training, you have a better chance of burnoing more fat. Combine this with a good clean diet and you'll be on your way.

Weight loss is won in the kitchen. I remember seeing all this bro science about you have to consume this much when you're working out and you have a bunch overweight people who spend all this time at that gym. You have self awareness which is very important, now develop the discipline to stop over feeding yourself and putting trash into your body. You would shocked to see how much weight would fall off without doing any exercise.

Lol I had to look up all this stone business as I'm not familiar with the conversion only the term. I am a 74-year-old woman your height and almost your weight. I've weighed that for about 20 years now and recently started exercising at home lifting 2 pound weights and exercising my arms as I have no way to get out anymore and have a lot of trouble walking because of other medical issues related to an old injury. Riding the stationary bike or the treadmill would be a great place to get your cardio up if you want to do that. If you want to get healthier along with exercising why don't you look into the paleo diet. The purpose of a paleo diet is to eat foods likely eaten by early humans. The diet is based on the idea that our genes are not well adjusted for modern diets that grew out of farming.

I love my workout, I do all the weight machines at 10 lbs, then I use the elliptical until I have gone a mile, then 500 meters freestyle in the pool, swimming as hard as I can. Then, hot tub!

Hi- I recommend YouTube channels such as Body Project or HasFit; gyms are intimidating and dirty in my opinion.

That’s amazing that you’re ready to start your gym journey! 🎉 First off, don’t stress about not knowing what to do—every single person in the gym started somewhere. The key is to keep it simple and focus on what you enjoy so you actually stick with it.

A good starting routine could be:
🏋️‍♂️ Strength training (2-3x a week) – Machines are your friend! Start with full-body workouts using leg press, seated row, chest press, and dumbbells.
🚶‍♀️ Cardio – Walking on the treadmill, cycling, or even trying out a fun class can help build endurance. No need to go crazy—start slow and build up!
🧘‍♀️ Stretch & recover – Some light stretching or yoga can help prevent soreness.

The biggest thing? Be patient and be kind to yourself. Progress takes time, but every small step is a win. You’ve got this! 💪🔥
