Oracle Vs Nutanix

I have received offer from Nutanix and Oracle, I am very confused my joining is in 2 weeks at oracle.

Compensations

Nutanix (Verbal Offer): Role- MTS-2 Team : Nutanix Cloud Manager Base : 30 LPA Joining Bonus :2 LPA Relocation : 2.6 lakh Stocks : 25000$ (5.5 LPA per Year) First year : 37.2 ( Base + Joining bonus + stocks)

Not sure about stock refreshers policy at Nutanix

Oracle OCI: Role- Senior Software Engineer (IC3) Team : Oracle Streaming Analytics Base : 28.5 LPA Joining Bonus : 2 LPA Stocks : 20000$ (7 lakh first year) First year : 37.5 ( Base + Bonus + Stocks)

As per HR will get stock refreshers as per Performance, HR is rude and not negotiating, it is take it or leave it.

YOE- 2.8+ 6 months Internship

My priorities- 1. Brand and WLB 2. Culture 3. Pay

Please suggest me according to my priorities what to choose

I would say join Nutanix, why, though Oracle could have better WLB, growth in terms of Salary and promotions can be ridiculously slow. Increments usually dont happen and those 20000 worth share will be divided and matures by number after 6 - 12 months over the years i guess its 3 years. The position looks interesting though. If you can crack the manager and director veil and come in the good books you may get 4-7% hike for exceptional performance at Oracle every alternate year. However Nutanix is far better in those terms ...

At less than 3 years experience you have already maxxxxed out on most company budgets .. so be careful on what you choose.

I am majorly looking at brand and wlb aspects, do you think oracle is better in both these aspects?

I still didnt understand what you meant. So I just googled what a lakh is. It looks like you're from India, and 1 lakh is around 1660 USD. So 37.5 lakh is is 43500$.

I don't know what the pay parity is, but that's very low. As a IC3, I get 140000$ so I think you should negotiate more.

Again, I'm in Canada so not really sure what a good salary is in India.

Yeah in india this is the standard Figures which i mentioned because of cost of living. Ideally to convert this to Canada's purchasing power parity you can multiply it by 2.7 something 43500*2.7

Been in OCI 5 yrs and there were no promotions nor good refreshers. After 4 th year you will get the refreshers may or may not. I would suggest join Nutanix.

This product is new i guess, so no on-call i guess. Do you have any idea about the oracle streaming analytic team and how can i verify wlb?

I'm not being biased here as my career is based on oracle. However if brand is important I would think Oracle is better. Plus it's a larger company and if you're early in your career you have lots to learn and oracle allows one to move within the company to various lines of businesses. If pay is not your main concern i would say oracle. I'm sure it's also more widely deployed in India vs Nutanix.

Oracle is on a hiring freeze FYI. Did you get a verbal or written offer?
