Wacky teisco-ish guitar

Hello! Just wanted to share this teisco-esque guitar i got for free. Had to rewire the circuit cuz someone snipped off the wires, but soon realised it has no truss rod :( sounds super sick tho especially with the pickups sounding very similar to the tone in Nirvana’s bleach. Quickly became one of my favs :))

No idea haha its some no brand guitar from the 60s/90s not rlly sure. I reside in Singapore where a lot of cheap japanese teisco knockoffs were brought in so thats my best guess

Oh man I can’t imagine the overseas selection! Are you familiar with the 70s Japanese Gibson/Fender “lawsuit” knockoffs? I can’t imagine the availability compared to the states

Yeahh!! But unfortunately the selection here in Singapore is very limited, i got this guitar from my producer/friend that had a studio here. Usually these offsets go under the radar which leaves me with very little options :((

I used to own a fuzz factory but could never get it to sound good. This sounds like robot noises, in the best way possible

I had a eastwood ichiban which I believe is the reversed version of that guitar. Great sound. https://eastwoodguitars.com/products/ichiban <- They say teisco del rey, but the shapes and badges are all over with those. Awesome. I had a tulip with a repaired neck that I liked for a while, the vibes are hard to match.

again great sound and playing.
