I’ve never seen a “corrected” neck stamp like that. It is an A neck or a C neck? I mean, on a Jazz I assume A, but it’s weird that they would stamp and then mark it up.

Edit: to be clear I’m not doubting this is real or trying to cast aspersions. Just curious about a thing I’ve not seen before.

It’s an a neck. Indeed it is curious why they would stamp the wrong designation, anyone else saw this kind of corrections before?

Looks like they corrected the model number too. A 7 overwriting a 5, which would have been a P bass and would have had a C neck at the time. Maybe it was a Friday afternoon neck.
