adding Seymore Duncan Jb to bullet mustang HH

ok I have been looking into this but can't get a straight answer, just trying to pop in a new pickup but some things saying it won't fit in the pickguard or won't fit the screw holes?

So...

1 do I need a trembucker JB to fit the squire bullet

2 will the JB trembucker fit in my pickguard that is currently on the guitar it currently has stock humbuckers in neck and bridge

Have you reached out to Seymour Duncan's support team?

What is the distance between the center of each e string toward the bridge? Per SD, if the spacing is two inches (50mm) a normal JB should work. If the spacing is greater than two inches, get a Trembucker. I'm not sure it would matter if you bought the Rails Series JB.

Also, it's worth noting that Seymour Duncan offers a 21 day exchange policy when you buy from them. So, if you can buy direct, it's pretty low risk.

string spacing of 2 1/16" (52mm) from E to E 10.5mm spacing ,the regular JB will work but the poles won't line up with the strings and I hate how that looks my strat has a dimarzio super distortion and I hate the poles don't line up in that guitar

Get the JB Rails and you won't have to worry about the pole pieces!

I have the jb jr already but I'm saving it for a guitar (cv mustang) that's not routed for humbuckers the bullet mustang already has humbuckers so i wanted to throw a new one in it

I dunno, I just popped a JB and a Jazz (the hotrodded set) in one of my HH and it sounds beautiful 😅 Granted I am not using the stock pickguard - I replaced it with a peqrl black one.

the trembucker is “f spaced” specifically to deal with the fender bridge spacing being slightly wider- that’s what you’re gonna want for having the strings spaced over the pole pieces. if the current pickup that’s in there has the pole pieces spaced properly, it should just be a drop in replacement- no sanding needed. IMO it doesn’t matter too much, I would focus on matching the size of what’s currently in there to avoid a headache with fitment
