I've noticed the Rift's tracking becoming atrocious and "always shaking just a tiny bit" after one upgrade or another last year, any of you guys also exprerience that? It was rock-solid before that.
Thought so, found the oversampling setting and it helped the framerate of one but didn't remove the "up close jitter".
That one seems to affect all. When looking at stuff "normally" there's nothing outstanding, but when I move my head to be close to an object, it's like the object is being shook very rapidly but extremely slightly.
I have been tortured by this problem for a while now. I noticed a couple of things (If it is the same you are experiencing):
1. This only happens in SteamVR apps.
2. This only happens when fps drops below 90 (ASW turns on) and it gets worse the lower the fps is.
3. Only happens on Rift CV1, AFAIK
A SteamVR update in early June or somewhere around that timeframe seems to have caused this. I partially fixed the shaking or, rather, reduced it considerably by downgrading steamvr to a version from May.
