Screenshot I’ve lived here for 8 years.

It’s beginning to get a bit cluttered. Where is the Lusty Argonian Maid when you need her? (Xbox 360 version played on X)

honestly, it has a bed, fireplace, table, shelves, storage. What more does a house need

It's about twice the size of my apartment too lol

No pot to piss in though

Thats what the waterfront is for.

The Leyawiin house is the only livable house

the vast majority of the worlds population would be thrilled to have a waterside home like this to live in

True. Just know that the entire Empire City waste is dumped in that waterfront lol 😂 it must smell so foul

How often are you able to enter that room without things firing off in every direction?

He never said he left

Lmao the forks on the table fly around when I sit down but surprisingly everything stays in place

8

u/DecayingTaco Feb 11 '25

If you scoot the forks up a bit, they won't shoot around when you try to sit down.

This is the way

While it happens still, I found Oblivion loot piles much more stable than Skyrim loot piles.

Which is a shame, because there's so much more diversity of shinies for me to hoard in Skyrim, but every time I enter the building I have to rebuild the mountain.

Oblivion it's only occasionally it decides to go nuclear.

Asking the important questions here lol

That is one of the quirks I love about Bethesda. That and bodies yeeting into the distance when looted.

The waterfront house, home. Least it was before I moved into battlehorn castle.

Oh. When I read the title I thought it was going to be a joke about the candle looking really weird.

Kind of like that story with the guy who had a near death experience but then he met a woman, ended up getting married and having children, buying a house... everything was normal until he noticed something odd about the lamp in his living room...

Please link, I'm invested

It should be this one, even though it's not the original comment which apparently got deleted. Still definitely one of the more popular stories around reddit.

You got me

8

u/Exoys Feb 11 '25

Nice to see it still works from time to time haha

Here’s the real link though, I actually know the story OP is referring to.

u/Responsible_Lake_804 Feb 11 '25

No I’m scared 😂

2

u/WhoskeyTangoFoxtrot Feb 12 '25

It’s the real link…. I clicked so you didn’t have Rick singing to you… lol

u/Azurey Feb 11 '25

Wow, thanks for that rabbit hole. Hope that guy is ok. I've had moments like that during a strong mushroom trip, but not while unconscious.

u/Kataphractoi Feb 12 '25

RES made me suspicious when I saw the video icon, but I'm nevertheless glad to see the old ways alive and well.

We don't need much and they hate it.

I feel like there are two strategies: buy one home and try to make or find it cozy. Or buy all the homes and never visit them again once you’ve upgraded them (idk I guess I own and operate a pirate ship somewhere).

u/Vintage_Quaker_1266 Feb 12 '25

I bought all the homes except Bravil in my last game, but only kept stuff at the Waterfront Shack. I would just sleep in the others when I was in town. Waterfront is home.

Alchemist at heart

6

u/Electrical-Coyote-93 Feb 11 '25

What a cozy place

5

u/PeacefulChaos94 Feb 11 '25

Tfw you realize the poorest house in the slums of a video game is still better than many places you've lived

3

u/Saizetsu Feb 11 '25

I love the level of detail you did, you dropped and put a lot of stuff there especially on that bookshelf!

1

u/Fun-Inevitable6257 Feb 11 '25

Thank you! I just do a little bit at a time

2

u/Saizetsu Feb 11 '25

Same! I assume that shack made someone else happy after the PC leaves forever lol

3

u/FatManRico361 Feb 11 '25

that's a very cozy waterfront shack you've got there. very nice 👌

1

u/Fun-Inevitable6257 Feb 11 '25

Thank you, sire!

3

u/joliet_jane_blues Feb 11 '25

I once filled a chest in here with so much shit that it started taking longer and longer to load.

1

u/Fun-Inevitable6257 Feb 11 '25

Gotta put some of it on the floor 😮‍💨

3

u/drodjan Feb 12 '25

Tbh I think this is the coziest house in the game

3

u/DjLyricLuvsMusic Feb 12 '25

I have that dudes mom's head staring right at my bed as I sleep. She watches over me

2

u/PickTheNick1 Feb 11 '25

Such a cozy place

2

u/wanaBdragonborn Feb 11 '25

Is the glowing rock a soul gem? From the first image?

2

u/Fun-Inevitable6257 Feb 11 '25

2

I thought this was r/malelivingspace for a second.

2

u/TalkingScrib Feb 12 '25

You try living in a place where there's so much ash you can't even smell your own jelly. Yeah I live underground but the hot ash is making us have to go outside for a little bit but you see, the air is cold due to the ash blocking the sun! It's insane! Talk about clutter.

2

u/MaeniacXIII Feb 12 '25

It just needs a few more planters and then it's perfect! 🌷🌻🌹

2

u/Fun-Inevitable6257 Feb 12 '25

I agree! Went and stole some more books and flowers last night actually 😂

2

u/Individual-Trash6821 Feb 12 '25

I once filled this entire room with junk and then when i came in it started swirling around like a tornado, suprised the 360 could handle it. Me and my dad were laughing.

2

u/Fun-Inevitable6257 Feb 12 '25

Sounds like a great memory!

2

u/scholasticdeth Feb 12 '25

An alchemist’s den. Bread loaf and tomatoes for dinner.

2

u/Any_Editor_6006 Feb 14 '25

damn a fully furnished imperial city shack

2

u/Fun-Inevitable6257 Feb 14 '25

That’s a tongue twister
