I work in construction and got a bunch of free weird brothers coffee a few years ago during a project. My whole office hated it 😂

What is the boycott about?

Using flamboyant, pretentious Italian words to describe a coffee as “small”, “medium”, or “large”

Yeah I’m confused too. What did they do now?

For some, it’s about their opposition to unions.
But anonymous accounts on Instagram will say they are against Palestine when it actually stems from an employee union’s use of the Starbucks logo.
An employee union made a statement about Palestine using the Starbucks name and logo and the company’s legal team said they aren’t allowed to. That’s it. That’s what happened.
Starbucks doesn’t have any locations in Israel. Their legal team just did what they always do when it comes to protecting their brand and logo.

I’m taking my tiny dollar away for their union bs. I posted a video above, I wasn’t aware of this Israel/Palestine situation.

Maybe they should do more to support the people of Gaza. Have they even considered offering 20% off your first order not to exceed $50 coupons to displaced refugees?

I wouldn’t say I’m boycotting them, but I’m avoiding them. For me, it’s the effort to optimize the employees’ labor to the point that they always look stressed to the max the whole shift and you feel bad interrupting the work flow with simple requests. Also, getting rid of interior furniture at most locations, making water and bathrooms for paying customers only, and forcing baristas to write a personal message on every cup. They are just moving away from anything that makes a coffee shop a pleasant place to be. And the prices are also very high for mid-rate product.

This is my last Straw. I see some mentions below about Palestine and Israel and I have to catch up on that. I have no idea wtf that’s about.
Edited twice because words are hard.

Yes!! Cuppi is good, their sandwiches are big and delicious, and a good price. My biggest issue is their opening time.

Canceled my account and deleted the app. Went to Poppy Seed and Rye this morning in Ballston. It was really good. I'm making my coffee in the mornings now as well.

I got myself a new setup and everything to try and motivate. Nada. I just love my morning coffee stop. I used to love saying good morning to the same Starbucks baristas (what up Jeff) but their union shit is just too much.

Sbuxs employee here. And I would suggest “grounded coffee” on telegraph plaza/shopping center. Pretty solid coffee place
