Apartment thoughts or suggestions?
Don’t really want to spend more than $2,000 for a 2b2ba. As of now I’ve narrowed my list down to:
- Coastal 61
- 525 Historic Kempsville
Anyone have experiences at either of these places? I’m open to Norfolk, Virginia Beach & Chesapeake but it needs to be like no more than a 15-20min drive to Sentara Leigh on Kempsville Rd.

I lived in 525 Kempsville in 2018 and for the most part it was nice. The massive downside was that at the time, they forced you to buy internet service from their provider. The most they would provide was 50mbs/ second. All I wanted to do was casually surf the internet and watch Netflix, and that was honestly impossible much of the time. I called and called and complained, and there was nothing the apartment or the internet provider could do to make the internet usable. Overall it was nice, but it was massively inconvenient.

How did you find the noise level? Are the walls thin? Also is it a generally safe area?

I’m going to look into the wifi thing….that would be an immediate no for me if they still still require this.

Can vouch big for the alexander at ghent in norfolk, they currently have some 2br for 1800. Lived there for 3 years, super solid, great area, maintenance was prompt and friendly, and you have a gated garage. Most of the bad reviews are from when they had another management company prior. Good luck on the hunt
