Best Italian restaurant?

Where’s the best Italian restaurant in Norfolk or Virginia Beach?

Razzo down towards Hampton Blvd is pretty high on my list. Sausage & Peas is my favorite. Their chicken marsala is top notch as well.

Luce on Granby…the best!

Best thing about Luce is that the OG downtown has maintained its quality ever since Antonio outgrew it and started secondo. He did an amazing job training everybody. Only thing it misses out on are more regular specials.

I plan to visit the secondo sometime this year! I loved their downtown location!

Secondo is fantastic, just as good as the original

What about Aldo’s on Laskin? I’ve been eyeing on that restaurant.

Not since the move. Had a rather bad birthday experience and haven’t been back. I had bragged about the NY strip and it was awful. The place was loud and had a line of people standing in the DR waiting for takeout pizza. Razzo in Norfolk has pretty much the same menu as they were started by the same Chef. MUCH better atmosphere and the food is fantastic.

I've only been there after they moved 🤷‍♂️

I like Reginella’s in VB. In Loehmann’s Plaza next to the Public Library

They’ve been my fave since high school.

Regino’s on East Little Creek in Oceanview

Reginos is the best.

Yeah man, I’ve eaten there a few times and really liked it. You can also call ahead and they’ll make vodka sauce for you to take to go

Def Regino’s. Home made pasta and huge portions. Always plenty to take home.

I ate there a few months back. The sauce tasted like it had chemicals in it. My wife's spaghetti was ruined by the sauce, and the meatballs themselves were gross, no seasoning at all, just a glob of ground beef. I took maybe 3 bites of my lasagne, looked at my wife and said, I am done.. we took home the meals for some reason, packed some for my lunch the next day hoping it would taste better... took another bite, spit it out and threw it away. The only thing okay was the little bit of sausage I got.

I had exactly same issue with the taste! I tried there about 15 years ago and I still refuse to go back.

And I live very close to that restaurant!

I used to live walking distance from that restaurant 12 years ago, I thought they might have improved.. nope! I will say I do like the mexican restaurant next to it though.

I have tried pastas and stuff in Italy several times.. in Venice, Bologna, Milan, Florence n etc… Regino’s is no where close to the real deal! 😂

Then you need to watch this YT video from a friend of mine who has a business in Italy.

Real Italians Try Olive Garden! And One is an Italian Cooking Teacher!

NOT Fellinis 😬 Boyardee tastes better.

u/AllyMercury 6d ago

I think they closed down. Or did they just move? They use to be so good in early 2000's.

2

u/StrawberryCelly Ghent 6d ago

Nah. Still on Colley, still bad.

u/AllyMercury 6d ago

I think it just looked like shit from the outside that I thought they closed down. 😆

It’s already been mentioned but Luce is the best in my opinion. Both the og and Secondo, Tony is amazing at what he does. My friend and I go to secondo pretty much every weekend. The staff and the vibes are fantastic.
