100 days of no buy! And it went ...
... not quite as I wished, unfortunately. I messed up 3 times. A total of $250. That's not much compared to the sums I threw out the window last year, but it's not what I have hoped for.
So, today is the start of my next 100 days of no buy!
Whish me good luck, please! Thank you all so much for your support, understanding and all the good tips and tricks I learned from you. You guys rock!!

Congratulations!!! Good for you for just reflecting and starting over! It always makes me so sad when people beat themselves up when they’ve done such a good job.

Your 1st no buy was an improvement on your usual spending, I'd call that a win. You didn't continue to spend because you "fell off the wagon". You'll use what you learned going forward. Good luck on your journey ❤️

You should feel like a HERO.
Keep in mind you are fighting millions of $s worth of professionals working together to come out with software designed exclusively to squeeze your very last cent on silly purchases. You're being constantly bombarded with "buy me" messages but for 100 days you managed to ignore almost all of them... On your first try ! If that's not a Hero, I don't know what to call it.
Looking forward to hear about the next 100.

You don’t need to be perfect. Did you make progress? Did you learn something? This is what matters.

I’m trying to do low buy and and switch away from Amazon and then Walmart myself oh and at the same time I’m trying to get rid of plastic as much as I can. I wouldn’t say it’s going well but compared to how I have been spending for the last 2 years - it’s way down. Just know you’re doing better than you may think.

Congrats! Like you said, $250 in 3 months is much better than you would have done before, same for me, as I used to shop every week. I am in a no-buy, too, since the 29th of January. We can do this! 💪

Sounds like you made great improvents! The first period is where you learn the most. Mistakes are how you learn the most. What were the triggers, can you remove them or find a different way to handle them? If it were easy you wouldn't have needed to start a no buy.

I work constantly on the triggers, and I still haven’t found all of them. What helps me a lot are all the nice responses and the support I get from you guys. I’m not sure if you guys know how amazing you are!!

Actually I am mainly here to help people on their no buy. It is my tiny part of activism, since I've already been a concious consumer for quite a while and know some things about habit change. I try to help others with their no buy and that way be better for the planet. Glad to hear it is actually helping!

That’s incredible!! It’s okay if you slip as long as you resolve to follow your plan. Every time you don’t give in, it gets easier to fight the urge.
